engine started in very first sulf, pick and sound is great, it was almost empty tank and filled with rs 1000 petrol, and still i reckon it has 5 or 6 litters left,,

Also add zic or caltex coolant to prevent rusting

If you include the price of ECU in it then yes, otherwise it will be for 70,000 - 75,000 along with transmission, mounts and everything. Prices of used Cultus parts / engines have come down.

If the engine is running good means no smoke, then price is justifiable. Otherwise, even 42000 is more for this crap looking engine. There is engine cleaning chemical also sold in Bilal Gunj. Clean the engine properly with that.

Besides only greedy crooks are sitting in Bilal Gunj scrapyard. Look he quoted you 60,000 rupees, and if there was a fool like me, he would have paid 60,000 rupees for it instead of negotiating.

You bought the engine for 42,000 and I am sure the seller still managed to make 10,000-15,000 out of this engine.

By the way can you please mention the shop name from whom you bought it?

i have same thoughts, an ordianry customer will be looted badly,if i were alone, i would have bought it above 50, because he was not giving it less than 50 saying it will be a loss for him, still at the end he sold @ 42k,

Bro should have gone for EFI 1.5 engine. this 1 Litre 3 cylinder is a no no engine.

i am double minded about t-stat,, i know its necessory but i am afraid due to my prv experiance,, and mechanics also advised not to use t stat, because build quality of g10 do support t-stat,,it blows gasket due to slight heatup,, can u plz clear my doubts?

Build quality of g10b doesn't support thermostat? Was suzuki smoking crack when they designed this engine and also choose a thermostat of 82C for it? Pakistani mechanics and people, yeh japan me chalta hai udhar thand boht parti ha pakistan me garmi hoti hai isko nikal kar phenk do. What do you think about land cruisers and land rovers roaming around in sahara desert in temps going to as much as 50C? They should throw out tstat direct fan and also should make engine shower in a cold water after every 10kms to overcome heat dissipation?

i had it installed in prev engine against the will of mechanic, but it resulted in blown gasket due to overheat, i was using tapwater though

Thermostat caused to blow up head gasket? I think their would be some serious rust in your cooling system due to not using coolant and using plain tap water. Stuck thermostat can also cause this, a working new thermostat doesn't blow up head gasket
