I got a 2002 carby cultus. I am planning to swap the engine with a better efi engine not looking for 1000cc engine since i will be changing the transmission as well. Currently the car heats up a lot and i cant turn on the AC while standing still. Its in terrible condition. I want to keep the car for daily use with good mileage(15+ km/l) in city. Not for racing purposes.Can you please advice which one shall i go for? My pick is G16b after reading multiple threads. However no one changed the transmission.

yes you will need to replace the gear box...... and g15/g16 are better option .....easy swap and daily runners
millage is between 12 to 15 in city and 17 plus on highway in such swaps

Can you help me how much will it cost overall? I have installed the after market power steering in the car as well since there was no power steering options in 2002 models.
the engine jerks alot too. i got the new carburetor installed last summers. I can feel that the power of the car has boosted but it still jerks. I got the spark plugs checked and mechanic told me that they were fine. I am afraid of keeping the ac on while the car is standing still. Water level in the radiator decreases every time i take it for the trip.
I have got it overhauled year ago and it was still doing the same. Only thing i could experience was that engine was able to cross 120km/h easily i took it to 150km/h on motorway i could have gone on.I have installed a new fuel filter like three weeks ago, ignition.current call is working. Dont know anything about tappets clearance.
