Salam Seniors and all Pakwheelers
I have a question. I have recently bought 2010 Suzuki Cultus and wanted to replace current steel rims with new alloy rims. I was told by my mechanic that if you change steels to alloys it will put strain on foundation which they call mukki in their language and then it will crack and the solution will be to add a rod which they call chikk in their language.
I did my own research and found out through forums that this foundation issue comes in cultus and in this aspect mechanic was correct but could not found anywhere in these forums and elsewhere that it has anything to do with alloy rims and infact I found out the opposite thing.
From my research I got the idea that alloy riims are much better for suspension because of being lightweight.
My sincere thanks to all of you please guide me on this issue and is it ok for me to go for my decision of alloy rims
