Cultus Headlight switch repair

Hey guys, I have my Cultus headlight switch a bit faulty. Problem is that mostly it doesn't turn on low beam. I have to switch to full beam. Sometimes it works and sometimes it works after switch back from high beam to low beam. Electrician said its plates need repair due to heating and need a 2 hour repair work session.

I want to do it myself so can anyone guide me how to do it. How to disassemble and then assemble back the steering box and repair the switch. As I suspect there could be some carbon or rust on the switch and it needs thorough cleaning. A pictorial description will be beneficial.

Usually these types of switches has some delicate parts and does need a professional hand so better buy new one from Suzuki or let the electrician do the job.

by the way I am good at delicate work as I used to overhaul my VCR's full mechanical system and its timing adjustment. Also hobby work is to some fixation of household electronics & electric items like fridge, washing machine, audio system and tv etc....

bro this assembly is very delicate, i opened it in my garage and the ball bearing and a spring flew out (and were not found again)

i had to get it fixed by an electrician. there is just a metal strip which is pushed by the stick to complete the circuit.

but it is totally repairable, just get it done by a good electrician

wow this happens with bearing and spring type assemblies...happened with my few times but managed to find them .........
I have fixed these kind of bearings and spring type things but OK Buddy... now there are 2 votes for electrician so will go for it

Brother my dipper stick is very hard.. i tried and sprayed wd40 into it but it became harder sometimes it stucks at dipper position and i have to give it a hand to come to normal... any suggestions??

Any suggestion what should i use without opening?
As wd 40 failed badly...

WD40 removes any dirt and rust but doesn't lubricate much so sewing machine oil or mobil oil may work. Also can try small bead of grease or if it isn't available then petroleum gel can also do the trick :P. Important thing is not to let much dust enter in cabin.

change assembly, buy cheap one that ll work fine.
