U r right I am not aware of much about engine but what I know is when I start the engine the temperature needle goes up little lower than middle point before driving and with out AC.
That is need to know if it's normal.
Its normal..no issue..needle should max go till middle.issue is if it cross middle
OK thanks.This is first time I am using coolant. So just wanna ask how much it will reduce if I run 4 to 5 km.
Yesterday I didn't drive much just 1 km from mechanic to my home and it is around 1.5 inches reduced. I pour a water to make it full.
There should NOT be a loss of coolant level even in weeks of car usage...if there is then it means leakages in cooling system, water pump seepage or worst case is of gasket not properly done...keep an eye on it

Cannot tell just by seeing the pictures. Its all on the mastery of mechanic and how good/sincere he was with your work...if head facing is not done with all due care then i am sorry your issue could go even worst in the form of head change as there is a limit to shaving off metal from the head...i hope you got my point

Water should not reduce in both the rad and bottle.
Gasket is a very delicate issue and needs very much expertise.
