Cultus RPM Drop problem on CNG

Hi Experts,

I recently bought Cultus-2003-non EFI, earlier I was using it on petrol and it was running fine, but since I shifted it on CNG, it has started showing RPM drop problem, I had it's tunning done couple of times but RPM drops after every 60-70 kms, also When AC is on RPM drop too rapidly and engine starts viberating badly, pick is also very bad on CNG. As car runs fine on petrol, so I think there wouldn't be any issue with Spark Plugs/Wires, basically it looks a car tunning problem but why car is asking for tunning again and again.

I am thinking to shift it back on petrol and get computarised tunning; but I want to know what might be the issue with the car causing this RPM drop on CNG, also if someone could share some good place in RWP offering computerized fuel tunning of cars.

dude cultus gives a prob like this.leme advise u a best cng mechanic in islamaabd..try his tunining once n ull feel the differnce ..its in i10/3 exactly opposite to suzuki azim motors.

Thanks Taimoor, but you are suggesting "Suzuki Azim Motors" or some other Service Station opposite to it?

not azim motors..dey will ruin the tunning..

its opposite to azim motors..its in the cng statopn

I think I should put car back on petrol for some time till I sort this RPM drop issue on CNG.

I have herad that cleaning CNG kit also helps, often there is oil found in it, so car don't get proper GAS etc. Is it true? also somone told me that cleaning corborator also helps increasing car performance and solving RPM issue ?

Any suggestions?

well dude dont know anything abt performance thru cleaning the kit n all..

bt nowadays my car is givin me hell prob on cng as well..n ill b going on monday mornin to the same workshop i advised u, so i can get it proper checkd out like wha the hell is issue with it.

Yes it does. Dont go for carburator but getr CNG kit and cylinder serviced. Also re-adjust all the RPMs. Get itr tuned from Enercon Melody

Actual problem RPM adjustment. Needs a good tuneup.

Just a tip for u dude , we on pakwheels here are not mechanics just go to a mechanic and get it checked !

i am not sure about carburetor cars ..but to fix rpm drop problem in an efi car ...u simply have to block the air intake and adjust the idle knob ....i have done it myself a couple to times on my city idsi and it works .......khair do keep us updated !

@pak786: Well dude, no one is calling anyone a mechanic! :P, I postded this thread to get help from other people on this platform who have faced similar issues etc, also if someone is facing similar issue, he can take help from this thread too, I guess that's one of the reason people visit this forum.

Anyways, I have shifted back my car on petrol now and got it computerized tuned from Enercon, RPMs are quite stable on petrol now, but still engine performace isn't optimium, I mean the pick etc. Couple of suggestions Enercon guys gave me:

Get Carborator Cleaned
Get Timing Belt replaced (coz engine is making too much noise)

I will update once I will get these things verified/replaced along with CNG kit servicing, I don't know when I wld be able to do that coz I don't have ample time these days..

Also I wana ask that has anyone got Tappet adjustment on non-EFI Cultus? Does it helps?

bhai jan air intake check krao k zada air to nhi a rahi , check ur air filter.

adjust RPM at idle both with A.C and without A.C set at ur satisfaction .

no need for computeraized tuning , jus set mixer of CNG for good pick then go for a test drive. drive with A.c and then without A.c . make sure that ur car have no vibration and moves smoothly.

its all just because of excess air in intake r mixer setting. and dont go to a normal mechanic go to one who fits CNG kits and only deal with CNG they can do CNG's setting and tuneups very well.

Thank you very much for sharing yours views and experience about the said issue. Well i am also facing the same problem in my car. But here we have a different situation. My car's RPM drops whenever i shift gear from 4th to 5th. The rpm downs to zero and engine stops.
I have consulted many mechanics and than i have got repaired some butterfly in carburator. After investing,3000 rupees on this repair, the problem still exists..
Please refer me some good mechanic or way to get rid of this problem.

Check out its tappets. Sometimes it trouble only on cng if 2 or 3 tappets clearence is not adjusted and same problem occurs. BUT runs smooth on petrol even.

same problem with my cultus 03 and landirenzo kit ......the problem starts when i have a tuning by local mechanic nw rpb drops on cng and when i turn on head lights rpm also drops....

and with ac on and 5 pessangers in cars the car hardly touch 80
and pick is very bad with ac+cng

please suggest me what to do cng tunning or some thing else
