Cultus steering column SUCKS!

AoA everyone...

i am posting a second topic in a day...thnx to pakwheels..

we own a Cultus vxl 2004..the problem is ,,its steering columns sucks big time....

even at the slightest KHADDA n even at 10kmph it makes sound like gdd gddd.the column vibrates really Bad....i got it checkd..the mechanic said its the KANGHEE n the STEERING BUSHES...got them replaced but the sound still persists..i told the mechanic to drive it on his own but he cudnt aktually understand where da noise ws coming from....i personally tried to figure it out..the noise appears to come from the area to which the STEERING WHEEL is attached....also when the steering is locked,,the moment it catches onto the lock the Plastic Shell covering the indicator lever an all that moves n has Play in it on moving the wheel..(i hope u get my point)

wat cud b the problem????plz help me frm this Suzuki Curse...

Noise is infact coming from the steering shaft, from the joint ends, right above the paddles. U can check it, even ur car is stationary, just move steering slowly left n right. U could feel the play….
Make that joint repaired or change it, hope it will work, as far as I understand the prb.

vehcile MOST likely has oversized tires and/or after market rims.. People do not understand that such changes accelerate the wear and tear process big ti,me

u should take ur car to a proper qualified suzuki 3s dealer and have proper technicians look at ur car instead of taking it to "ur mechanic"

got a vxli at my home....clocked 45k kms ... no prob with power steering...

one cutlus vxl 04 model my cuzin has clocked 130k kms...no prob with power steering :S

aur cuzin walei mein 14 inch alloys with 185 nexen tyres....

...dont know y u facing a prob :S

the chimtey were farigh,,,,i had em sorted out...the noise comes frm the steering column,thats for sure.....
anyways ill get it chkd frm a suzuki 3s IA...

dear bro my cars clocked 120k..n deres no prblem with power steering...its the steering column...

This type of problem is almost every suzuki car.The local KHARADIA has got some solution for that.

Im digging an old thread, So people forgive me for that. (A)
Actually Im facing the same problem.
The car is Suzuki Khyber.
I got the steering coloumn repaired when I got the axles changed but Im still encountering the same problem as OP.
Any suggestions that what could be the problem?

I am also facing the same problem with my Suzuki Alto. Initial inspections dictated faulty rack and plunger bushes. The plunger bush is also known as a damper (correct me if i am wrong here). At first i got the rack bush repaired but the noise didn't go away. Then changed the damper and the noise went away but only for a month. Now InshAllah i m replacing the rack bush and the damper together, getting new ones now since the last time i got a kabli damper and had the old bushes re-made by the local kharadia.
If still the problem persists then i'll have to look into the steering column joints as the steering rack seems to be in a pristine condition and replacing it will not solve the problem.

First I got the rack bush replaced but the problem still persisted. Then I got the steering coloumn joints repaired but the noise is still there.
I got it checked by 3~4 mechanics and they said that it is normal and nothing to worry, but the sound it creates on bumpy tracks is very irritatiting.

I just bought a 2009 model cultus its only 25k driven, but now i feel some sound from the steering side when it move on rough road, even when the car is stationery and i move the steering left and right the sound is their like (tuck tuck), so please experienced persons can anyone suggest me the solution for it.?
