I am in dire help to find a reliable mechanic, my engine has been recently under the weather, so it started back in May, when one fine day, my car overheats, and I take it to the mechanic, and he shows me that there is kachra and welding done in the radiator and needs to be now replaced, so we went ahead and replaced it.
The overheating damaged the gasket and replaced it.
Now, ever since then, my car has started making horrific noises. 1st gear is only good till 20 and then the engine starts screaming, then the second shift lasts till 40 and starts screaming, then 3rd shift at 60 and 4th by 80 (80 is hard to reach - especially when on the overpasses.)
According to the mechanic, this engine is in need of repair and is quoting me 40-50K, which is understandable, but if I need to spend that much money, at least I spend it in the right place. I said let's get a kabli engine, and he said they are not reliable.
inshAllah i plan to upgrade my vehicle by dec 2021, but till then, I have to keep this for the family.
I've come here to seek your humble and honest advice on where I can find a good reliable mechanic who has good experience with engine repairs, and knows what he's doing.
Replacement is also an option, but changing the documents accordingly is a bigger headache.
