@Zebno
go to a trusted suspension repair shop, zubair has already mentioned one, get all the items thoroughly inspected. A good technician would recommend which ones can be repaired and which ones should be replaced. if steering box is genuine & is in good shape then better get it serviced rather than replacing it.. get all the axle boots checked, the sounds you mentioned seems to be a problem of ball joint as well, its hard to tell exactly thats y i say that you get it inspected by a trusted technician...
@zubair this is for you
as i mentioned earlier that i have got the front discs lathed recently, it was necessary because during braking the front discs and brake pads get in contact with each other every time you press the brakes... we often replace the brake pads but hardly do something good to the discs. the surface of the discs get eneven and develop plenty of radial lines on them which eventually becomes difficult for the brake pads to properly stop the discs from rolling during braking. getting them lathed actually resurfaces the discs and it helps the brake pads to properly grip the discs when brakes are applied and thus improves your braking alot. here are some pix:
before getting them lathed: (notice the radial lines on the surface of discs)
during the process:
after getting lathed:
it was a Rs. 500/- job
Good job on the rotor skimming Usman!. I guess next time you'll have to get them replaced or something since there's a limit to the number of times this procedure can be performed
^ you are right... i got this done for the first time (for front discs) since i have this car... the rear ones had already gone through this process. And i was told that i would have to replace the discs the next time.. i assume it would be good enough for another couple of years approx! after which i might have to change the discs
Oh.. Okay Thanks Usman...
Usman the sounds he is mentioning mostly comes from the Chamta's and they need to pressed. You dont know the road conditions in our area and after using cultus for abt two years i've noticed that to use it soundless i will need to press the chamta's after some time...
oh i see... the last time my car suspension was giving sounds, i got them checked and found that there was no problem with the suspension but the front brake callipers were rattling so got that fixed too
When ever u see Ghrab, Ghrab sound from front, the most probable thing is the chamta's.... and also might be the brake clippers...but u'll feel as the suspension is giving problems... :S
i cant upload the pictures :S. internet wehshi slow since yesterday. sheet.
dont loose your heart ... keep trying
Nice pics and clean , well maintained car.
thankyou! its just the front bumper that has some maslay. khair. thankyou! =d
i want the clock too!. how/where did you get it installed from?
i took it from a friend of mine. he was selling his margalla :p. it is available in bilal ganj in lahore. ive seen it there at a couple of shops. ive no idea about karachi. okay you might not trust me on this.. but in bilal ganj the price of it was around 1000rs :s. i thought it might be around 200 when i took it from my friend. but it was actually pretty expensive there. aik dukaanwaala to 1500 kehra.
waise. its just a suggestion. you can check a showroom where any margalla is for sale. go for a swap. apni light de k yeh waali le lo aur paise de dena saath whatever he asks for.. hmm.
