I didn't throw water on the distributor but pulled out the plug cables and most probably they were not inserted correctly...

And the daily running of my car is reduced to only 8Kms per day (due to shifting of my office)
+ 300Kms on weekends...

@zahid.. a couple more issues which i discovered later in the evening, thought it would be better to give u a true picture about the scenario one of the door locks has lost its connection with the central locking i.e the remote is opening 3 doors only (it was working fine till Sunday but now it isnt)... while the rain water has done something to the silencer packing because of which the engine sound is louder... both are indeed very minor things to fix but i will get it done once the rainy season is over

the average mileage what im getting these days is between 110-120km per filling with most of the times AC on..

these are the pics taken during the rainy days.. the above was taken on Saturday morning around 10.00 AM... the second one is of Sunday morning (after the disasterous rainfall).. the water was completely absorbed on Sunday morning however the level was above the tyres during the rain while the car was standing at exactly the same place as in the second pic.

This is used to be the daily route of the workhorse.. due to the construction of flyovers on University road coupled with heavy rainfall there is hardly any sign of road on which the car travels. Since 4 years my car has been going through several flyovers as its daily route (KPT flyover, Hasan Sq flyover, Stadium flyover, Karsaz fkyover etc) when they were under construction having more or less similar situation as in the pics below. the unevennes of the roads is hardly depicted in the pics while in reality its a real sorry situation for the vehicles & becomes even tough to maintain them considering they have to travel on such paths on daily basis.

The RPM of my car doesn't remain constant, sometimes it is 1100 and some times it is 500....
I went to Garage Masters Islamabad( as suggested by one of Pakwheels Freinds), They told me that the Butterfly of the carburator is not working and it needs to be repaired...
But they said that it will cost 1500Rs and with Computerized tuning they will charge me 1800Rs....
but it will take abt 4,5 hrs, so lets see when i get time to goto them....

@zubair, the cost you have been given is too much.. i got my carburetor butterfly done for just Rs. 700 (including labour).. & it took nearly 45 minutes to get the job done!

i spotted these a couple of days ago... these unique colors were available only in the very first batch of Cultus... If any of you remember the press ad of Cultus in newspapers when it was launched back in 2000, this was the one... & to my suprise there was another one in forest green metallic (similar to Bean Green of Santro) right next to my car but i was not able to take its pic :S

this Bottle Green color was also available till 2002

:o Thanks Usman... But i went to some other mechanic today and i asked him abt the charges and he said that it will cost abt 1200 to 1300 including labour...

but i'll ask some other mechanic also...

spotted this golden brown 2001 cultus today.. another unique color which was discontinued early on.. the current cool beige is a more desaturated version of this color.. it was actually similar to the golden available in Indus Corolla but was a much saturated & slightly darker shade.
