I'll also suggest not to go for a repaint at this time.... the paint is still looking good.

my car some times start missing and starts to give hickuppss... i went to a mechanic and he said the cables of plugs are short change them and the car will becom "ZERO METER" now you ppl plz tellme which cables are best???

I got prices of NGK as 540Rs in Pindi....

yes i can live with it but will consider to get the rubbing polish soon.

zubair, perhaps you should stick to factory specs.. if you change the cables to any other spec, then u should also change your spark plugs, gap, timing accordingly.. so consult a few more technicians before making any decision

Usman, get the car repainted as soon as you have some extra dough...the rubbing compound might make matters worse by making the paint even thinner than before...thus making it more prone to scratches and damage...also if you intend on keeping your car that long, no point in waiting just get it done when possible...best of luck

to all the repaint haters out there, i'll drive a repainted car any day than a vehicle in 'original/untouched' condition car full of scratches and dents.

salaam all:

there is a fleet of around 15 cultuses / model 2004 at my work-place. all have more than 250,000 km (zeroed more than twice) on the clock, driven by different drivers / officials with variety of driving habbits.
i would just say that this 3-cylinder / 993 cc / carburettor type is a marvel.
on the other hand we recently had three brand new cultuses with four cylinder / efi, and they are like driving a car with hand-brake on!
what to talk of their craftmanship, no more comments!

hey asif the efi cultus's you mentioned at your work place..by any chance do they have CNG installed?..they must be having issues im sure...also my EFI cultus had its timing 'retarded' from the factory, yes thats correct and it was running like a rickshaw actually even worse..took it back in at warranty and when i got it checked patah chala kambakhat timing hee sahee nahee thee..these are the standards of pak suzuki...God help us all..any ways thank Allah this was the only issue i had after that the car is literally eats the old carby cultus besides the engine is much more quieter and for a change dont have to hear the dreadful knocking sound...overall i really like it but unfortunately the constant price hikes ruined all what ever value that was left in this vehicle

CNG is always better compatible with carburetors... its also my personal experience & there is no doubt that the carby cultus is hassle free to maintain on CNG as compared to its efi sibbling. One the other hand one has to admit that the 4 cyl efi Cultus is hell faster than the old carby one.. durability & practicality can be judged once a vehicle is 5 year old or more & it depends a lot on how one maintains his ride. As far as my experiece says Carburetor=CNG, Efi=Petrol

by the way first proper rainfall in karachi & infact quite a heavy rainfall.. once again my cultus is serving like a boat for me & its the 4th year of its life Masha Allah with me during the rains.. when i parked it at my office today it was looking like i have just completed a WRC circuit lollz will post snaps soon

rainfall on the 18th was nothing less than a disaster.. once again my car experienced an adventurous monsoon rain! there was so much water in front of our house that i had to park my car away from my home water level was above the tyres.. reminds me of 2006 & 2007 rainfalls when i was stuck in deep water in DHA and Alhamdulillah my car survived through it

Alhamdulillah water dint went inside apart from the carpet which got soaked near the rear seat due to a broken rubber needle underneath the carpet (perhaps)... all i have to do is to get a new rubber seal and bingo! on Sunday i cleaned the floor mats & brushed the carpet & kept all the windows open for the whole day which did a lot to get rid of the smell inside..

Nice Going Usman...

regarding my Plug cables The performance was quite better than the old cables when i was going home last weekend.... Easily touching 130

However at home i washed the engine bay my self and might be some thing was missplaced/affected the pick was not very good :(.... will get it checked tomoro...

A sad news Some body stole my beloved pda phone (Qtek 9100) so am also searching for anohter pohne now a days, now i wont go for a phone hgher than 5K...

Lucky u karachi ppl, we are praying for a good rain here in NWFP, the weather is too much hot.... and the light is too much rare :(, light comes for only 5,6 hrs per day....

sorry to hear about your loss zubair.. anyway check your distributor if there are any signs of water inside it... always be careful & if possible cover it with a plastic bag before you wash your engine bay yourself. also do consider covering the electrical relays etc in order to avoid any electrical malfunction.

i will post pix of the condition of my daily route after this rainfall.. it becomes a tough task to maintain the car in these circumstances, specially when the car is a daily runner.
