Cultus VXR Tappet noisy and bad pick

Slam everyone.I have cultus 2006 (carby). Its tappets are making noise.A so called ustad opened them and cleaned with petrol and according to him "tappet wich kachra phas gya ay". Now sound is pathetic, pick is bad and car is asking for gear shift @ 2500 rpm.Buying new tappets will solve the issue???or ustad g has ruined something else

Start using thinner oil in future. 10W-40 or 5W-30. that will prolong life of hydraulic tappets. For now. Get them fixed by some good mechanic.

yes thats the point too he mentioned. I just want to know that pick problem will also be solved by replacing new lifters?

was there any other issue related to pick up etc. before that job done by mechanic? & dose the noise previously coming was continous or momentary ?

@umarkhan1 i dnt knw about the terminology u used as far as i understand no part was grinded.he only cleaned hydraulic lifters with petrol nd put them back.When engine is warm sound sound is greater than before.

pick was fine before this job but there was continuous noise when engine gets warmer before and now as well with high intensity.

Sound getting increased when warm is ok.
Now tell exactly what you are facing??
Low pick or increased sound??
Is your engine stock or overhauled or had a head job before??
Which engine oil you are using??10w/40 is best for hydraulic lifters..

I beleive ur car was mostly running on CNG & now its on petrol. A poor service job in terms of Hydraulic lifter cleaning has led to increase in noise & may be more clearance issue on actual valve stem which has decreased engine performance further. You may or may not need to replace Hydraulic lifters depending upon conditions but Valve job on head seems must required.
DO consult 1~2 good mechanics & get it done.

Engine flush may help only if there is minor sludge etc. The blocked one would defanately requires cleaning or replacement depending upon situation. But 1st one needs to sure that noise is really due to Lifters blockage etc. or due to overspec valve clearnace issue.
