I also faced a similar issue....did u check the evaporator under the dashboard?....you maybe leaking gas very slowly to even smell it....when i checked mine it was black, leaking vry small, and somewhat rusted to......so i changed it with a new one fr 7k....i dnt know what make was it, but it was not a cheaper option and def not chinese.....

my mileage was 110k at the time of change....the original could hv lasted more if i had serviced the blower and itself earlier, about which i nvr knew had to be done
