Cultus wheel bearing

I'm facing wheel bearing issue in my cultus 2005, my machanic suggested me to replace all four wheel bearing, cost of all repair work he told was 4500, my question is that does this repair work worth 4500?

Get genuine bearings by yourself from spare parts shops, and ask your mechanic to change them for you. Your mechanic will fit low quality bearings to save money for himself. Just to give you an idea: Single bearing change of corolla costs 2000-2500rs with labour.

Yes ... Cultus genuine bearing are expensive.. he told u correct price if he install genuine

change wheel bearing of ONLY those wheels which are creating noise. there are very thin chances that all 4 go bad at a time.

buy new Koyo bearings from market. i bought for my Liana for around 1700 per piece original Japanese Koyo. chinese were available too for around 700 per piece. another thing - which is MOST important - bearings contain small roller balls inside - these mechanics hammer them very very roughly with full force to make them sit inside the wheel hub - NEVER do it. this will dis-locate the small balls inside and the bearing will be useless very soon. so, make sure the bearing is 'pressed' inside with a press machine - he takes 50 rupees per press and the bearing fits in like knife in butter with 100% accuracy..

Bhai buy best quality bearing cutus bearing is around 1400 front one side and bpth front labour will be 800 to 900rs but ones are cheaper you will get back ones fpr bpth wheel in 1000 to 1200 or even cheaper.. There will be some kharadia pressing for front bearing
