clutch fork is sticky & the thrust bearing must be faulty
when was the last time clutch kit (clutch plate pressure plate thrust bearing) was changed ?

Check if the cable is bent while installing. If you change just the cable, and not the cover, it might break due to dryness inside the sleeve.

Check your ground
Mostly poor ground causes to catch ground from clutch cable and this makes the metal wire to get hot and damage the cable and after some days it breaks again.
