Cuore 2007 Reverse Light Switch gets stuck

My 2007 Cuore has lately developed this issue that reverse light switch gets stuck whenever I put the car in reverse. It stays so for a random amount of time and becomes normal after parking the car for a few hours. I asked an auto electrician who said that it requires gearbox removal which I would prefer to avoid (as it requires engine removal as well due to cramped space in the engine compartment).
I would normally ignore it but it causes my reverse camera to remain on rendering my android head unit useless during the drive.
- Can anyone confirm the location of the reverse light switch in Cuore 2007?
- If it is indeed attached to the gearbox, any idea about how to get it fixed without gearbox removal?

Unfortunately, I haven't been able to find any solution. A couple of auto electricians said that they can replace the switch but there is no guarantee of the replaced switch to work for long. So, I gave up looking for a solution.

My reverse switch gets unstuck when the car is parked for a few hours & sometimes, it doesn't get stuck the whole day. So it is annoying but not too much.

I got it replaced today, it does not require gearbox removal but it takes almost 1.5 hrs to replace.
