If you find a genuine part at Plaza it will be around 1500 to 2500 depending upon you buy Japanese, Thai, Korean, etc.

The following image is from my father's 91 Lancer. Has 137k miles in total. The gasket was changed once in it's 28 year life and radiator was changed once some 12 years ago. Has all OEM not even the auto switch has been changed has two separate fans for AC and radiator. It is a 28 year old car doesn't reduce coolant it is just checked once a month coz the car is rarely driven. The temp needle stays at the place in the pic once got up because the relay was disconnected.

That's the main point ,you always use genuine/top most quality available without a doubt.
Plus you always say you have a family mechanic just like a family GP that charges more than an average joe,but results are infront of all of us in this picture

Mashallah, that's amazing @omersiddiqui5482 bhai. I wish one day too I will maintain my cars like this. You always mention plaza for quality parts but in my area there are a few spare parts markets but they always stock the lowest price product.
I had to roam 3 hours just to find a thermostat valve. The only decent shop is Toyota's Central motors that charges 10x the amount.

Just look at these bushings. These are Daihatsu OEM parts I sourced from a local shop for rs.120 but the dealership is asking for rs.1400.
Same goes for radiator. They were asking rs. 48000 for cuore radiator.

Lesson is well learnt. Never cheap out on spare parts. Never.

However, you honestly tell me. If your car is asking for 7-8k per month on Totally new expenditures, will you not save money? Secondly, I tried my best to get good parts. I specifically tell the shopkeeper to give me the best quality you've got. Turns out, this is their best quality.

I never cheap out on Wagon R because it rarely asks of any work whatsoever I travel to the other part of the city to get it serviced from it's dealership. I never give it to anyone else other than dealership, although Suzuki dealerships I've found are more affordable than Toyota.

But this car is so demanding that it's outrageous.

The thing is @muhammad.irtiza Thora khuwari lagani parti hai. Local shops hardly store parts that are OEM good find btw of the OEM bush. You live in the North dear if waterpump seems near to you there is a Shop called SuperWay Autos. The shop is just beside Mehmood Sweets at waterpump chowrangi. They also sell good quality parts if not OEM then aleast OEM spec. The best thing is the guy will tell you that the thing is manufactured where and what is the quality and how long will it run.

I live in Gulshan Bhai plaza for me is very distant to. Also my office is at FTC. When I was restoring my other car. I had to skip many lunches cause I was finding parts for my car at Plaza. Xulfiqar SB. And nnabeel Bhai guided about alot of shops for OEM parts.

Darling you car has been abused by the previous owner hardly given any thought to it's maintenance. And you have tried your best and we all agree on that. Plus the mechanic is a ripoff he should have told you na Bhai ke this part or whatever part is not of good quality. It is his responsibility you are the owner you don't know to repair it the damn idiot knows na. Khair no point in arguing just let of off say good bye and find a better one this time. Noted brother. Agay ke liye sabaq.
The axle that my new mechanic (whom I trusted uptil now) was not replaced with NKN Japanese part as he promised me. He just welded a bigger bearing into the axle and fixed it, my old mechanic showed me yesterday.
The disk brake pins are also loose.
The work keeps on piling, but I am working on getting it resolved.

The name's Tariq he's situated near shell pump North Khi 11A. He's been working on cars since 20 years he fixed my car's carburetor real good, but he too cheaped out. We must always source parts ourselves trust is very scarce nowadays.

check the system pressure of your system and working of the expansion valve, it seems like your A/C tech doesnt own a vacuum pump and the expansion valve is stuck.

It can also be poor circulation of coolant - is the thermostat installed in your engine?

Jo jo kaam aap ney karwaey thay woh aap ko at least 3 saal tak dobara nahi karwanay parnay thay,agar aap ney quality part use kartay.
I am still coping with the fact that you have installed 290 rupees gasket.
Supposedly it was made in jodia bazar.
PS quality part doesn't mean that it has to be bought from Toyota showroom

Sir bohot afsos hota hai. Jis jis ne bhi meri cuore chalayi ajtak tareef hi ki, bohot ala pickup, handling, and comfortable ride hai gaari ki. Lekin bilkul... Mujhe itna pata nahi tha ke parts se itna farq parhta hai like I said I am new to cars, I just started driving a year ago. Ayenda se khyal rakhna hai mene.
Loug apni new corolla mein paani daalte hain mene 13 saal purani gaari mein havoline a coolant daalta tha. Poori gaari ka cooling system bhi flush kya tha.
Lekin afsos ke gaari ke previous owners ne iska khayal nahi rakha and now isme kaam araha hai.

Expansion valve, if I'm not wrong and dumb, it is the one in evaporator unit inside the cabin? ... I had noticed a whistling when i turn on the AC, that comes from the evaporator unit.

... Thermostat valve yes ... As far i as know but i can double check on that. I'm also a bit suspicious about the circulation.

Unfortunately, the mechanic couldn't understand all my blabbing today and said, all is okay with your car, don't worry. But I'm, since I'm planning on taking this little hatchback to Gilgit, Hunza, Sost side in July, InshaAllah

Oh man .. that price of gasket. You know when i went to a spare parts shop here in Islamabad, to get the metal hose/pipe, which is also visible in your picture .. I asked for price first, and he said 400 ... I was like, 400? Really? Show me some better quality please and he came up with a 750 .. which was much solid, strong and smooth ..

There are always several qualities of auto parts, always opt for better ones or OEM spec if not original . Like you do for your WagonR
