theres nothing wrong with green coolant.

what wrong is when you buy from unknown brand.

buy aisin / fuchs / zic / caltex / toyota / honda etc and be happy.

zic has online shop, caltex has company outlets selling all fluids, fuchs used to be available at hascol, aisin available at big auto stores etc.

did you use NEW head bolts instead of using the old ones?

were they tightened with a torque wrench to correct specification?

was the head warped?

frankly its been a VERY long time since i visited a mechanic.

sorry to say mate, but its not the previous owner that is responsible for this disaster, its you. Time and again, you were guided where to buy quality parts, where to go for quality work, you just turned a deaf ear and still went on doing what you wanted.
Had you listened beforehand and not cheaped out on parts and technicians, you wont be in this mess in the first place.
And don't say that you can't afford it, if your wagon R can go to Suzuki for work, at least the coure deserved a decent mechanic.
All that money wasted on repeated jobs, would have costed the same if done once and properly.
So its best to own up to your mistakes and stop pointing fingers.

On the first head gasket job, yes it was and sent to be faced properly by a specialist.

This time i didn't let the car overheated and caught the leak beforehand.

no one to do the work properly. i either do my own work, or take my tools and stand on mechanics head.

Dear @dayrider sir I'm not saying you're wrong, but there is a huge difference between Wagon R and Cuore in terms of servicing:

1. Wagon R did not break on me from day one of the very first week till the last minute. It is, Alhamdullilah cared for by it's previous owner and me.
2. I spent less than 8000 including oil change and tyre change etc from Paksuzuki in the car in 4 months.
3. Wagon R was always drive able to the dealership. Many times cuore was even unsafe to drive even a few km
4. I tried to find a good mechanic in my area many times, to no avail and I cannot send my car away to another area since I have a very busy schedule with University and multiple jobs.
5. Cuore was maintained on my student expense while WagonR is maintained by my father. Even then I never saved a dime and said give me the best parts.
6. Toyota central motors is 10x more expensive than Paksuzuki SNA motors and I was advised against sending my car there.

Of course, had I known more I would not be in this mess and I am owning my mistake of not being aware of good parts but now on I will take care. As @nfssaad bhai mentioned there are no dependable mechanics in my area.

Assalamualaikum fellow brothers and pakwheelers thank you for your support in the last few days! I had a couple of questions now that my car is back and running good:

1. The wheel bearing, since the axles were fixed, makes horrible squealing noise on reverse. Any reason for this and what is the fix?
2. The exhaust manifold is always loose. Many times the mechanic tightened it but it keeps on producing truck like noise. Any idea what he is skipping?

trace an honest mechanic in your city and then stick to them. Even if the only time that you can visit him is on weekends.
He will spend 2, maximum 3 weekends on your car, you will then have a car as reliable as the wagon R.

it seems like your A/C tech doesn't own a vacuum pump and the expansion valve is stuck

Not sure about that, if he had a vacuum pump or not. I remember, back in those days when I asked for a full AC service, he took out pretty much all of the AC components -- condenser, dryer, compressor, evaporator, pipes -- changed the dryer with new one, washed the condenser and evaporator, cleaned the compressor and while putting it all back poured a little compressor oil in it.

Then started filling Gas via desi compressor & gauges (those little back compressors than run on 220V, I've seen in refrigerators/water dispensers )

Not sure, if that compressor worked as vacuum pump or not

my father fixed a mechanic in gulberg back in 90s when he bought new mehran.....i hv always went with him fr regular maintence....we lived in block k n.naz.....after 2005 we came to johar and now i still go for our regular maintence there only .... i can visit him on weekends only though... but still him

@muhammad.irtiza dear what kind of squealing noise and what does your mechanic say about this. Was the CV joint greased properly before installing. What grease was used? There should be any noises apart from the fact that either the part is incorrect or the installation was wrong.

Check if any of the bolts on the exhaust manifold have damaged threads and also the exhaust manifold gasket is properly placed. Most probable answer is the bolt is shot hence the manifold doesn't remain tight..

CV joint per STP oil and Caltex grease were used.. all high quality. Don't know whether he applied it or not though, this is completely new noise, one of metal rubbing against metal. Only comes in reverse on low speeds.

Noted brother. Agay ke liye sabaq.The axle that my new mechanic (whom I trusted uptil now) was not replaced with NKN Japanese part as he promised me. He just welded a bigger bearing into the axle and fixed it, my old mechanic showed me yesterday.The disk brake pins are also loose.The work keeps on piling, but I am working on getting it resolved.

Sir my car is now a mess thanks to low quality parts and cheat mechanics. I find it really hard to separate from my car specially how far I've restored it... It's light-years ahead of how I bought it.. but in some ways it's messed up in ways I am not ready to invest more in.
