I might switch back to the standard metal vipers

that would be a wise choice. the wipers squeek when they haven't been used for a while, add some hot water on them, and they will be better.

I need some suggestions and advice on upgrading cuore seats (front + back) .. Mira/Move Seats can fit it well? bolt on? Is it good to invest it japanese sofa seats or should I go to a Poshish guy in Rwp/Isl to work on the stock seats? I personally prefer to keep the stock seats and just work on them with some good poshish guy

any reference? known guy in Isl/Rwp?

If you can find mira turbo Seats in market then go for those. Otherwise the stock seats are one of the better ones I have come across. They are soft and cushioned.

Soooo yeah.... The transmission really is acting weird. While changing from first gear to second, on half throttle or more, it is racing the rpms alot before shifting. I did warn my father to put an ad online before any more problems come up but he'd rather deal with dealers and their customers.
Let's cross our fingers and hope topping up ATF solves the problem. @geek.maan brother the ATF has been fully replaced less than 10K kilometers before and topped up twice from half when axle work was done.

I checked the ATF and their was no oil at all in the transmission!
How's that even possible... That the dipstick has no oil. And yes, I checked the ATF on a running engine that was warm from a trip. No matter how many times I dipped it back it returned dry.

With low fluid, it make take up to 2 or 3 seconds to build enough pressure for the gear change.

please don't run the transmission/engine, if there is NO or low oil. That can damage the tranny due to friction and heat b/w the gear and associated parts. Never run it dry please. You may tow the vehicle to a workshop or call someone home and look for leaks -- gearbox just can't burn the oil are the pipes from gearbox to radiator okay and properly sealed? there must be a leak somewhere?

My transmission oil was changed back when odo was @ 101837 (18 March 2017) and till now (more than 2 years) and odo @ 137247KM the ATF oil is still there in adequate quantity. Alhamdulillah

p.s. mine runs with ZIC ATF III

top the oil up, there are two marks on the dipstick, adjust to lower mark on cold engine.

It may look like a loss....but sell it in 50k less max man....what u r trying to save here might result in been spending on it more till the time u have the car...."ur new issue of transmission"

@muhammad.irtiza dear are you sure when you had the axel work done you changed the transmission seals and topped up the oil. Mechanics are pretty jahil you know that.. pour some oil in it as @Xulfiqar sb. Mentioned and check again for leaks...

@omersiddiqui5482 brother axel has been opened 4 times in 6 months and after every second work I changed ATF oil new, while on 2 occasions I did not object to his reusing the oil since it's bright red almost unused oil.
My father is saying there is a lot of oil in the car garage brown colored. Now I know for certain WagonR didn't leak any oil so I will take out both cars tommorow and inspect the oil. I am expecting that there is a leak somewhere.
Hopefully the leak is not in the transmission anywhere.

Also sell it as early as possible Bhai.

If it were up to me the car would be sold but I don't know what my father is doing. I warned him time and time again that some big work is impeding. Now I rest the fate in his own hands, it's his money, his loss.

This is only OK if the container you caught the oil in was clean and washed - using the same oil drain pan that is used for engine oil drain and then directly using it for ATF reuse purpose is a very very bad idea.

I was away at University so my father handed over the car to the mechanic. He said the oil pan 'packing' was leak and he replaced it.

Oil pan packing replacement: rs.1300
Zic ATF 3 (2 liters): rs.1300

Bought the car home. A few minutes ago I pulled the car in the garage, only to find an oil trail. Looked underneath the car to find this:

Either the gasket/packing wasn't replaced at all or it was a lousy job. Either way, I need to think practically, take responsibility, and move forward. Here are the burning questions:

1. @Xulfiqar sir, on an engine running on direct fan (trust me, I tried making it auto) should the ATF be at 'COLD' on transmission dipstick or 'WARM'?
2. Tommorow I am visiting parts market at plaza to get the gasket most probably. Any suggestions on shops that can find me one are welcome.
3. Any transmission mechanic in Karachi that can do this simple job for me? Suggestions are most welcome.

You should firstly take it to the mechanic who did this and then get kick on his behind and let him correct the issue...

Bhai any good mechanic can do this. And this packing is available OEM spec at waterpump why are you going to plaza. Go-to to SuperWay Autos at waterpump just beside Mehmood Sweets and ask for the thing. Better take the old one that was taken out with you.

I am still not understanding why it leaked again if it is replaced in the morning... First the engine now the transmission...
