Cuore Engine swap or Overhauling?

AoA! My Cuore 07 has now clocked 242,000 on the odo and requires overhaul. It not only eats engine oil but also the pick has decreased by almost 10%. I've got two options either to go for overall overhaul or to swap it with other engine. I'm interested in EFI technology rather than old carby system. Any useful suggestions on the matter?

I'd suggest to go for overhaul. You will end up rebuilding swapped engine again after some time and value of car will also be decreased due to engine swap.

Overhaul it from a good mechanic or more preferably a toyota 3s dealer...

Salam !! My cuore has done 220,000K Kms !! If any one could please intimate me that whether i could get a pin pack, brand new engine from suzuki ?? The ALTO's ENGINE 2019 ?? Does companies sell new engines ??

Dear Daniel - Companies do not sell new engines, new engines are only shipped with new cars. Also why would you want to swap cuore engine with Alto ? If you are interested in swap than either 660CC Mira or 1000cc EFI Daihatsu engine would be your best choice.

There is no haram in swapping however you will have to search for good engine along with ECU and wire. After that it's the mechanic job and you will need to find a good mechanic who swaps. A Mira engine with auto tyranny should do well in curoe. However do this only if you intend to keep the car for say another 4 to 5 years. If not and you want to sell it than simply rebuild the engine. This way you won't have to change engine number on the book.
