Cuore engine swap to EFI (E series, EF-DET, J series or K series)

My Cuore has roughly 300k on the odometer and the engine is starting to give out now. I researched a bit on which engines I could get and so far I have the following:

1. The E series engines which have come in later models of mira are bolt-on and have good fuel economy as well (which is a priority for me since I drive in the city mostly)

2. The EF-DET (turbo) which is bolt-on. I haven't gone to Bilal Gunj yet to check the availability but I would like to know about the performace and fuel economy figures

3. The JB series engine that came in Mira Moderno

4. The K series that comes with the current mira. Again, I don't know if these are bolt-on, which is why I am posting this

I want to know which engine would be best, and if I need other modifications. My main concern is with the AC system and I would like to know if I need to change to make changes to the AC system for it to perform better.

Also, which transmission would be better with the said engines, and any other information would be nice.

older model mira engine would be better, simply because theres more of it in the market.

parts will always remain an issue.

for transmission use the one that came with the engine.

Daihatsu Coure when launched by Indus Motors in Pakistan had 900 cc engine. Parts to rebuild that same engine are available across the part dealers. Rebuild is safe, swap is high risk. Plus you are downgrading from 900 cc to 660 cc

The main problem here for me is the fuel efficiency of the engine. I drive in city mostly and it's giving me 11-12 km/l and that's without AC. With AC, the figures drop significantly. I know with 660cc I would be downgrading the torque because they are high rev engines but in city I won't really need that extra torque.

One of my uncles had his engine swapped around 4 years ago, and it used to give an average of 18-22 km/l on long routes with AC, at around 90-100. In city the figures were still above 12 with AC. The issues that I have for now are the wiring and if I would need to modify the AC system and the transmission because other than that most of these swaps are bolt-on.

Parts of these engines are easily available in Bilal Gunj, atleast for the E series, don't know about the others though

swap will not be efficient for anything above 11km/ltr.

I would suggest to rebuild you own engine. 660cc swap is not a fuel saver it's sluggish too.

Although I'm satisfied with the 660cc I have but not much Fuel efficiency, the efi part and the 4spd tranny is what I enjoy the most

If I had to take that decision again I would've rebuilt my engine.
