problem started after kit service, this means either kit is not installed securely or something like air/fuel ratio etc is messed. this problem was happening to me too. and vibrating kit also made dashboard to vibrate. i got engine mount checked and changed, but to no use. then i did DIY and installed a thick foam piece between AC pipe and kit and kit and battery. my kit is after market as my cuore is CX version. but you can give it a try. find the point where CNG kit is striking body and fix it.

Vibration Problem
Two weeks ago got my CNG kit serviced, after that CNG kit started vibrating hilariously, got it fixed by putting some packing material at vibrating point, now the problem is that the car has still vibration (CNG kit vibrates) but not on idle or on running but on specific position of accelerator. Like if i accelerate like:

Then car vibrates at red point of acceleration and sounds gurrr gurrr in cabin. But If someone holds or keep pressed the CNG kit opening bonnet, this vibration doesnt appear.
what is the solution for this??
I think its not CNG setting problem, coz same happens on petrol. engine was tuned, air filter changed, oil changed done two weeks ago...

So on sunday evening, took torch, hard corrugated board, opened the bonnet, tried to look for vibration reason....
suddenly saw a missing bolt :o from one of screw of kit with its metal carrier, this screw was down there, in a narrow space with battery on its front and was difficult to tight :(. therefore CNG wala didnt bother to put screw there and tightened only 3 screws. :mad:
so took out battery, and searched a screw and tightened...put battery back..
started the engine...and ............................... vibration gone.....car is again smooooth now...

never trust mechanics, give as much attention as you can as work is being done. for example i changed bumpers once. mechanic threw both old bumpers in scrap where old bumpers were lying. and i had to tell him to get old accessories from bumbers. for example licence plate lamp on rear and daihatsu logo on front. and it is very normal for them to remove 10 bolts and install 5. if you will ask, they will reply. koi baat nai, 5 se bhi kaam chal jata hai.

i need to ask this to all Cuore owners..
i own a 2005 Cuore, CNG, AUtomatic, 125000 km driven (MASHALLAH). now, all it's suspension work (shocks, gooday, chimta etc ) needs to be done. kindly guide k from where should i get it done in Lahore & what would be the estimated cost .
also need to change its tyres. was previously using DUNLOP SP SPORT 45, 165 Size.

goday/CV joint repair will cost almost 2000 including grease+ boot + labor
new goday will cost 8,000 or 10,000 different brands are in market.
repair of shocks is not reliable. go for new shocks. i don't remember exact price. but is around 8000-10000.
so you can estimate 25,000 for this work. best place to get it done is toyota dealership.
as for tyres, go for dunlop 145/70-r12 this is original size. 165/70-r12 also works. if you want to save some money you can go for kumho.

i also have cuore 2005 MT with 130K. it has original engine. shocks are fine. i changed its goday to kabuli once. tyres are dunlop 165/70-r12. cuore has a hard suspension and its suspension lasts very long. what problems you are facing?

best would be to take car to toyota and get an estimate of work required first and cost.

main problem that i am facing is that the steering has gone really hard. first it used to be real smooth & soft but now, nothing like that. it has become more stiff/hard than a normal Mehran. the other problem is, it used to be really soft on bumps but now situation is totally different. that day i showed it to a mechanic for suspected problems & he diagnosed that it's whole suspension needs overhauling.

seems like you also need to get steering worked on. yes cuore's steering is very light. cuore's original suspension is bit hard although. seems like shock absorbers have become hard.

i can not tell you exact problem of steering. it might just need new grease and boots but also some parts might need replacement. if it is only hard and car does not loose control at high speed then most probably only cleaning is required. shock pumps can be repaired too but better go for new. i just heard that repaired will not last long.

My frends cuore' temperature needle went quite above from half due to less water in radiator (AC was running at that time), so is it v dangerous? or what? or its not a big problem if it has moved first time above this point? and how to avoid this in future?

this means water leaks. to avoid it, from time to time, check water level in radiator. and while driving keep an eye on coolant temperature. keep cooling system in good condition.
overheating can damage head gasket and head.
yes fan continues to run in case of overheating. i don't think that thermostat switch is damaged due to normal overheating. but it can.

For radiators there should be zero water loss. There should be coolant inside till the maximum limit(not above).
Now its pretty simple, buy one of those kabli denso radiators. Their fan is much more powerful and they have much better build. They cost only 5k too along with a brand new cap. Now even in traffic jams the needle stays just below the middle point( as fan is running all the time on ac).

If you have leaks or rust, replace the radiator and fill with coolant. Make sure ustaad jee doesnt mess with the t-stat valve and the fan settings and inshAllah you will be trouble free for the next 100k kms.
The stock radiator isn't bad either. I had it running on the same toyota coolant for 90k kms, then unfortunately my radiator broke in an accident.

Is it the normal position of the needle when ac is switched on? When I turn on my ac, the fan gets switched in automatically and the needle stays at around 25 percent mark.. is it normal?

I'm happy where my needle is.
Check your thermostat valve it might be jammed and may close too slowly.

Yesterday my car got heat up, I received call from my wife that the needle is going up from half point, I asked her to turn the engine off and pour water in reserve bottle. She did same, but after some time again I received call, claiming the same problem. I asked to repeat the earlier said step. The needle went upto 85% of the guage :(:'((A) (as per statement from my wife). Now when I reached home and opened bonnet, I was amazed to see that radiator cap was not there.....(A):'(. It was found fallen in engine room, I put cap back filled water, started the engine, everything was fine.
Then this morning I went to toyota walton for oil change, since I thought that high temperature engine may have caused oil to change its viscosity and It may have become thin, and may not perform its duty well now (it was only 1000 km driven since last oil change). So after oil change I was assuming that everything is fine, but now I feel that
-engine heats up to mid point more early then it used to do before (like u can say about in 25% faster time for needle to reach mid point) But it maintains it self there doesnt go above mid, and cooling system working well. Specially with AC it stays continuously at mid point.
-Earlier when I had long straight run on constant speed, the needle use to fall to about 30% of guage, even with AC, today it was not the case. (it was 12:00 noon to 1:30 noon)(today lahore has 37 degree Celsius)
so tell me
is there any problem with my engine? radiator??
or its due to hot temperature?? (remember today lahore was at 37 C)
what is the remedy? how to keep engine cool?

i think there is nothing sad :). only thing seems bad is why cap came off. rest all seems fine. if radiator is clogged, it needs wash but it is not heating with ac so i think it is fine. use coolant in radiator. use new cap and keep eye on needle for few days.

in 2012, my cuore's fan relay died, it heated and smoke started to come from front. i stopped, waited for it to cool down and took to mechanic and he fixed fan. after that i have used it 30K km and all is fine. still going strong with oil changes and tuning (H).
