I used dunlop 165/70-R12 for many years. they proved to be very reliable and durable. so this time I bought two general 145/70-R12 for front on recommendation of shopkeeper. amazingly there is no visible difference in width. anyway there is in height/profile. these general tires r very soft and noiseless. durability will be proved in coming years.

how much difference you feel with the steering ? is it more soft now ? and whats the difference in suspension n overall ride ?
i am using 165/70/12 and my steering is quite hard, may be bcoz of tire size

first difference I felt was a lighter steering. anyway this can also be a sign of lesser road grip. These r very soft tires, ride is more comfortable and noiseless in general and on hitting cat eyes etc.
I feel braking is bit worse.

My car's avg during isb trip.
Minimum was during monal trip.
On return it should hav been near to 20, but due to problematic tire, it came out near to 18.

Alham dullilah, got my coure' tire changed.
Had a bad experience wid dunlop during isb trip. This time opted for nexen from saif traders, faisal town, lhr. Old tires were in bad condition, though only 25k driven.
Nexen 145 70 12, for 13500 after exchanging old dunlop for 2500.

Till now they are v good, grip is good too, bcoz I faced few bit hard brake scenarios last days, and they were v good. Noise is less too. But these things will be more cleared after some running. Coz dunlop were also v good when I got them. But they lasted for 25k only. So lets c.....

But engine is changed in January, registered on book.
My friend are advising me to stay away cuz it will be a headache to sale afterwards.

engine is 850cc carburetor one? if there is no other problem 310 is ok. many old used cars have changed engines. and they seem to sell.

black smoke means petrol air mixture needs adjustment.

causes can be bad quality of petrol etc. normally carburetor does not need any adjustments.

what are the problems you are having with original engine? engine swap should be last choice.

I need to change the axel of my car.. they are giving Kar Kar sound at the turn.. last time I changed them 6 months earlier... I installed Chinese set that cost 2200 rupees without labor.. now I am searching for a Japanese or Qabli.. any suggestions where I can find them??? Bexoz its v hard to find a genuine qabli axel from old parts shop.. they give us local made products...
