bro
to tell you my experience i was in a couple of govt auctions, believe me the prices were insanely high!
in most of govt auctions the bidding is open.
a normal person who wants value for money, shouldnt go to such govt auctions, the cars bought in govt auction are the easiest way for duplicate or triplicate documents for those who want to take illegal advantage, and you know what our society teems up with such lpeople.
having said that in govt auctions you can see ordinary people who are just there for buying a car and using it legally, they end up either without a deal or buying at an exaggerated price due to reasons discussed above!
the private coy auctions are much safe, however what they do is that they ask for closed bids and in the end give the cars to their favourites, there is no transperancy of closed bidding!
