Brother you are all correct in your respective approaches and I respect all of you, however, I am of the opinion that we are going off-topic and discussion is getting derailed / drifted.

JDM VS PKDM both have their Pros and Cons, and its a never ending debate. So its best to respect each others opinions.

It is proposed to stick with the topic and discuss Custom Duties and other taxes on Land Cruiser.

IIRC the IMC import Land Cruisers doesn't have

• AHC Suspension
• Electronic Tailgate
• Comes with 18inch alloys instead of 20inch
• Adaptive Cruise Control (aka "Radar" in Paki market)
• Front,Back and Side bodykits
  The rest of it is pretty much same.

A brand new jdm import costs around PKR 41 million (all taxes and duties paid)
The IMC import costs PKR 48 million to be exact. Landed at Karachi port.

IMC also imports used LC's from Japan but they are not the full optional ZX, these all are AX ,then they update here for Paki People......... IMC se LC bohat expensive milti hai as compared to Imported one.

So in your imaginary world an official Toyota presence/franchise will import a "used" land cruiser from japanese auction sites?

The reason IMC cruisers are expensive is because they are brand new and legally imported with full duties paid and their sales invoice literally says Toyota on it, you can even trace those chassis/serials nos. right back to the factory (which is required when you want to claim a recall in Pakistan)

If Toyota ever recalls anything on your GCC spec wagon, you need to ship it back to where it was sold.

to be honest all those "features" are headaches - and prevent "overlanding" which is what land cruisers are built for.

e.g. 20 inch wheels are useless on Pakistani roads, 18 inch ones net a far better driving experience on bad roads and offroad too after deflating.

ACC is garbage in any market that resembles Pakistan, it wont ever work because of the everpresent morons on roads,
