Custom Duties / Taxes on Land Cruiser

Hello to all of you,

Does anyone have idea on custom duty breakdown from Land Cruiser ZX 2019 4600CC.

I'm thinking to get import it by myself however I require advice over the duty structure. The purchasing price inclusive of shipping & insurance is $91,500.

Do u live in foreign or some family member will send u as a gift. If none of these apply to u than u cannot import used vehicle. U can import a zero meter though

Oh really, I thought I could import a slightly used one by myself.

The total cost for itself is $91,500 however this doesn't include any duties / taxes.

I live in UAE so I may get a 2019 model here and get that imported as well, if so I cannot import directly from Japan to Pakistan.

However the variant here will be then 5700CC. I guess it will cost the same here as well however the 2020 model cost about 329,000AED

As u live in uae u can import an suv upto 5 years old as personal baggage. Or u can send it to pakistan to ur family member as a gift. The amount of duties and taxes will be sent by you to pakistan via banking channel . You can buy an suv from uae or anywhere in world for which you have made payment by yourself.good news is that u r eligible to import one.

Just one thing, if I do not buy in UAE at the moment and relocate back to Pakistan and intend to import a Land Cruiser of 2019 or 2020 model by myself, will I be able to do so ?

Best is to buy one from Indus Motors - that way you get local support and warranty.

There is a certain time period i forgot exact time in which you can import one as personal baggage. But you should produce proof of transfer of funds from uae to pakistan. Duty and taxes are 384 % approximately

Yes, it is possible, and if you can do it, then it would be good.

Customs duty here depends on engine cc, and hybrid / non-hybrid factor.

For 5700 cc engine, and coupled with the fact that your SUV is Non-Hybrid, I believe Customs Duty would be quite high.

Land Cruiser that Toyota Indus offers is also imported but is officially sold by Toyota Pakistan.
It is equipped the same as Japanese

and then the nightmare of spare parts for your "japanese market" car would be non existant, and the language on the center console wont be in english either.

if you have the dough, buy one in Pakistan and enjoy driving it with peace of mind. It will have nice thick paint and undercoat too.

japanese market cars dont even have paint in the engine room, they just primer it, the undercoat and cavity wax is only 20% of what is done in other global markets.

This is because cars in Japanese market are thrown out every 5 years regardless of cost.
