Custom duty to bring bbq kettle in luggage?

Hi All. Been searching for ages for a good bbq coal kettle, basically weber.

Will be going overseas and could easily buy it and bring it back with me. Anyone know where I can find info on possible duty that customs could charge me at the airport?

I guess you can bring one for your own personal use without the need to pay any customs duty.

No duty, just extra baggage payment will be asked by airline if it exceed the weight limit. Also depends how many kgs unit it self is. Airlines don't allow more than 30 to 32kg per piece.

The official box weight is 17kg (25x25x15 inches) and I may not have any other checked baggage (have a total allowance of 30kg).

Always ask to check the PCT codes the custom officials are applying for the calculation of the duties; you should dispute the calculation if the product does not fall within that PCT code.

If it does then that is what you pay!
