Customs duty payment on a unicycle

I ordered a unicycle from aliexpress back in March. It costed me overall US $176 (product amount: $129 + shipping cost: $46.44).

Today I got a call from my city's General Post Office (GPO) that I need to pay them 17,086/- as custom duty in order to get item. I went to the post office, but the staff had left an hour earlier than office time so I couldn't find the reason of such huge amount, however, I took pictures of Custom's invoice from the box. The value mentioned on the invoice was 100 USD dollar, and it is mentioned as "bicycle", despite that I have bought a unicycle. The weight of package is 6.8 KG and it is a comparative small sized box. Please see attached pictures

Can anyone guide me please how they computed that amount, and how can I get it reduced.

the babu at POST OFFICE can help you waiver against some eidee. be there before 12 on Tuesday and tell them help you , if you go by book they will throw bunch of documents for reference to pay the duty or simply wait for package to appear in auction to buy sometime in 2 years.

Finally, I got the unicycle after a delay of 2 months. And I had to still pay 11,000 rupees to the corrupt customs department. Afterall, the govt. need money to purchase senate seats and candidates for elections.

Congratulations! Ridiculous duties on paltry items are really a pain in the neck. A relative sent a bottle of multivitamins (similar to Centrum) from USA through FedEx and the duty he paid on receipt in Pakistan was Rs 18,000!!! I was like
