Cutting compound and paint correction

Aoa everyone!
I am not an expert here and clearing out a certain query, recently I purchased the formula one scratch out paste. So is this what we call cutting compound in desi terms? And if so what is the best way to apply it? Light rubbing or hard? Are simple cloths enough or a machine is needed? Any info regarding this and regular polish waxes would be best appreciated

Dear have you checked / read the instructions written on it for its applications? I believe, some will definitely be written there on it, or its packing.

2ndly, cutting cream is a small "Dabbi" amounting Rs. 150~200 from local markets. Compound polish can be same or different, as far as I know.

First things first, Formula1 products are very bad. I bought a few and threw them away.
Secondly, to apply such products it is best to use an applicator pad and then use a microfiber towel to buff it off.
Doing it by a machine is preferred but it can be done by hand as well.

Yes I have read instructions, however again, should I rub hard or just lightly apply? I tried out some, hard rubbing works best. So that 200rs dabbi and this are 2 different things?

Oh dang. Will have to make do with what we have for now ig. Yes I was considering going for the machine, but its quite expensive and I wouldn't be using this very often either. The pad that you are referring to is it the circular spongy pad? Again, should I rub lightly or hard.

So I am trying to remove scratches and stains of any kind. Primary need is to remove scratches. How should I apply? Targetedly on the effected area or do I have to do the whole panel for uniformity?

Yes it is the same spongy pad.
You should rub it in circular motions, apply medium pressure. Too light and it won't work, too hard and it will induce more scratches.

Listen, ideally you do the whole car. But in case you are too lazy to do that you will have to atleast do the entire panel. And don't worry about pressure, there is no way you can cut through paint with your hands.

Now days 70% of formula 1 products are fake. And their scratch out is absolutely rubbish even original. I suggest to use turtle Wax heavy duty rubbing compound which will make a day and night difference by hand. I also suggest you to make that much pressure which will not make a dent on body. Yes these are called cutting compounds.

Brother no idea, as I have almost zero experience in doing any such things.

No cutting compounds are any type of abbrasives that cut the clear coat to show up a new finish. Either they are 200pkr dabbi, meguiars, chemical guys

You can rub heavily because you are applying by hand and you can't even cut clear coat properly so no chance of damaging the paint
