CVT oil Change - Bad experience at Toyota Motors

Yesterday I got my car's CVT oil change, here r a few odd things i faced

• I got the 4 litre can from market for Rs 4500/- the same item was at toyota motors for rs 5500/- (do note that genuine can serial no is verifiable on net)
• The charges for oil change were rs 3500/- after a little discussion they agreed to charge 2500/- which r still a lot for a mere oil change
• Car is lifted up 5-6 ft and oil is drained then a manual pump type machine pours oil in gear box
• When pump stopped pouring oil, it still had oil in its 10 ft long thick pipe (like a garden hose pipe), i asked technician to lower car so this oil goes in by gravity but he said not required
• now the oil in pipe is wasted .. car lowered and started for inspection ..sounds and shifting was ok .. car raised again and drain nut underneath opened and no oil came out meaning oil level is low
• they asked me to get one more litre oil
• no spare part shop was near .. they told me we sell one litre for rs 2000/- after an hr of argumentation the reduced some billing

Overall it was a bad experience, since i am of the opinion
- their odd way of pouring oil wastes about half litre which they sell later
- their charges r not logical .. in simple words u will be charged
-- rs 5500 for 4 litres
-- rs 2000 for additional 1 litre
-- rs 3500 for oil change

total rs 11000 .. u can get this job done from a good shop in under 4000/- .. in some cities the oil is also cheaper

I intend to file a complaint .. please advise should i or leave it as a bad experience

These kind of things just pisses me off !
Next time - Make those selfie videos or whatever - Mention there name, if its Toyota or a dark little hole of a workshop somewhere and the way you feel like your being treated -
At least this will...thori air-tight pack to kar day ga unki - Posted it on social media -
Videos have a more impact these days - Zombies tend to avoid reading when on they are buried inside their smart devices.

At least this is what Im going to do...but i change my cars oils myself - But Im crazy so dont listen to me -

• got an email reply from customers service .. in reply i forwarded a detailed report of concern
• got a call from service manger of the workshop i visited yesterday again i told him

. ur service charges are 10 times high
. u r selling oil at much higher price
. the process requires only 4l oil why ur workshop asks for extra oil
. extra oil came in a beaker, what guarantee do i have to verify its ven CVT oil what to talk of its quality

anyone associated with toyota motors please help here .. i dont want any compensation .. i dont want an apology but i think this to be a serious malpractice by staff of one workshop .. may be to pocket some cash

help in what sense, they won't change their practice because you caught them, they can only offer you compensation. The system is corrupted to the core, hence we still have own and its rising with every passing season. Best you can do is go to consumer court and spread awareness against these stealerships

Asking for compensation weakens my stance .. what is done is done .. I want the higher management to know that u r loosing potential customer because of customer non-satisfaction .. straightening up one process sometimes becomes a first step to new SOPs, checks etc .. I have been associated with similar work for many years and at times the management has positive attitude towards customer but the dealing staff becomes relaxed or greedy .. such feed backs r necessary .. if toyota motors has good feedback system they will initiate an inquiry .. hopefully something will improve .. someone will benefit in future

Help in what sense

My concern .. if toyota manual says 4 litre .. the can says 4 litre .. any person i asked says its 4 litre never more ..... then it must be 4 litre .. an extra oil is failure at workshop level .. toyota to investigate and implement policy .. secondly why they r charging way more than normal workshops

Why Toyota Dealership / Workshops???
Why Suzuki Workshops???
Why Honda Workshops???
If the issues regarding warranty are concerned, then trust me, agar aap regular basis p preventive / periodic maintenance karwatay rahein, kissi b achay garrage sey... Issues never arise.
Agar aanay Hoon then pehlay 5000 kms mein hi aa jatay Hain, before even Ist service. A lot depends on luck too.
Most of these so called authorized dealerships know nothing, even about preventive / periodic maintenance...! And they treat general public as if public is sacrificial lamb, and they are butchers...!
Last month, my Toyota Passo got hit, I visited Toyota authorized dealerships in Islamabad for denting / painting and repair works.
One of the dealerships at Aabpara quoted Rs. 18,000 for just denting of rear hatch and Rs. 24,000 for rear bumper replacement (kabli one) and Rs. 48,000 for a brand new one!!! Can you believe that???
The Other near 9th Avenue, I-9 quoted Rs. 36,000 for just denting and excluding paint work!
Main kaano'on ko hath lgaa k wapis aa gya.
After discussing the issue with some of my friends and colleagues, I visited a denter / painter in National market, Rawalpindi and he did complete denting / painting and repair works, along with cutting cream in just Rs. 11,000!
Mechanics in market are Good enough and Good Garrages charge b reasonable Kartay Hain and unhein kaam karnay ka pata b hota Hai!
Even if I buy a brand new Toyota, Honda or Suzuki vehicle, main phir b, kabhi b, authorized Dealerships per periodic / preventive maintenance k liay bhi Na jaon!

Bleeding the brakelines has got to be one of the easier jobs to do on a car yourself. Watch some YouTube videos and read around. You'd save a lot of money with an icing of accomplished feeling at the end of the day.

toyota abbot motors .. usually i dont go there but thinking that cvt oil change is slightly tricky and i am new to the city so didnt opt for a road side oil change shop

the shop from which i purchased the oil told me so .. in fact i am also thinking on same lines as ur question .. would search net to find out .. lets hope this is true .. one of the most respectable auto parts shop in abbottabad (qiaer autos) and owner very authentically told me .. will post result of my search
