CVT Transmission or Engine issue?

Hi, so i have a Mitsubishi lancer 2004 model and it has a 1600cc engine with CVT transmission. The transmission was recently swapped but there was a leak, the line going to the cooler broke down and the oil leaked.
The car was stopped instantly and towed, there was no heat-up light that turned on, no blinking of N whatsoever. The oil was toped up. After a few days the fly wheel got stuck and broke down. That had to be swapped as well.
Now the problem is that the car has v slow acceleration. Drives fine in L and R but in D or Ds the car is a little slow to pick up and does not go over 100 kmh.
There is a cranking sound coming out of the engine as well. Could it be the engine or there is something wrong with the transmission?

2004 model of 1.6L Lancer doesn’t came with CVT gear or it was ?
As far as I know it came with regular 4-speed automatic or 5-speed manual.
Would you mind sharing its chassis code to make sure ?

BTW, it seems to me as compatibility issue.

The transmission swap is not easy because its compatibility is very important. Most of the time, we swap the transmission without noticing the minor details and hence keep fighting with its technical issues like unsolved mysteries.

You are from which city ?

I know a person (who is mechanical engineer but runs his workshop too), and he can sort this out.

1.6 is equipped with the CVT. You're confusing it with the 1.3

Actually there are many sub variants. This 8th gen. of lancer came in 1.3L, 1.5L, 1.6L, 1.8L and in some countries they launched it with 2.0L and 2.4L engines too. And all these are 4-cylinder engines and were launched with 4-speed forward a/t, 5-speed manual and with cvt.

That’s why confirming the vehicle is important.

How did you make sure that you replaced with correct gear?

Example. Toyota’s A340 Transmission is very common in many vehicles. But from Mid 80s till 2015/16 it came with different variants and none of them are inter-replaceable.

Its a dewan import and there is a 1.6cc variant that comes with CVT and sunroof. Its fully loaded but assembled in Pakistan not japan. Build quality is still pretty good and much better than any other Pakistani assembled vehicles.

Anyway, the problem was with the flywheel. It broke and after replacing the flywheel it seems be back to normal or almost here.

The problem is that i dont understand why the flywheel broke.

Who told you it was assembled in Pakistan...Dewan would have never constructed a whole new assembly plant just for all the 15000 appox units it sold...these Lancers were made in Japan but Dewan explicitly asked them to remove some features for the purpose of cost cutting...u really think they would have been able to achieve such built quality in Korangi or Hub. Import was way cheap back then.
