I have yet to read the thread but wanted to ask you a couple of questions. I am currently using

1)Mothers Carnauba Wax (same one as yours)
2)Mothers Synthetic Wax (Synxwax)
3)Mothers Reflections Top Coat

I regularly use these (each week) but my problem is swirls on my black civic. What product do you recommend to get rid of swirls. I am very touchy about not doing any damage to clear coat so rubbing compounds/polishing compounds are out of question.

Secondly how do you rate the NXT 2.0? I've heard some great things about it.

My experience with waxes has firmly convinced me that the Mothers (and other) waxes are simply not long lasting for our environment.

I rate the NXT 2.0 the highest, its shine is deep and long lasting.

As far as paint swirls go on your Civic, you need to trust me on this, I have done compounds and rubbing on my cars, my friends cars, if you use the right product, the amount of clear coat taken off is not even measurable.

My suggestion is that you use something similar like 3Ms Perfect-it, by hand... if you use it by hand very little abrasion is possible. Then apply SwirlX before a wax to mask swirls and finally TechWax and see the result.

While this wont get rid of swirls (unless you go the machining route once), it will deeply mask them.

Very excellent effort my one andonly question is where to get this stuff ? because i have checked few stores but cant find good products especially mothers and microfiber cloths/pads

just kidding love the job and what if a bird poops on it and where did you get the buff machine from

this is wat i do

have a spray bottle with u at home, the kind we use for spraying water while pressing clothes etc...put luke warm water in it (only luke warm, anything hotter will screw ur wax job) spray it on the poop (if the poop is on a vertical panel, lets say a door side then have a cloth ready touched on the door under the poop to stop the spill drippin down ur door surface), wait for 1 min then again sray the poop, follow the same procedure of waitin n not lettin excess water drain on ur door, repeat this till poop becomes moist. Now, remove it with a cloth which u must not use for regular washing or waxing subsequently (keep it for poops only). Do not try to rub off any hard part of the poop with force, again spray if required. Apply a bit of coating wax or top layer wax watever u normally use after wards and take it off after 5 mins.
