Reason for this DIY is that it is always a hassle to have many mobile devices and only one port to charge them. Another reason is that it really gets annoying to fiddle with cables all the time while driving. It is also annoying when you can't find the appropriate cable.
Since I've a Lumia 1020 with wireless charging shell, I thought why not try this DIY.
So, this is how it goes:
I've this space with soft padded carpet where my phone fits perfectly, without the fear of scratches... (red arrow)

I had to remove this panel to get access to the installation area as well as cabling.

Bought this wireless charging device to use in car. Dismantled it in order to be able to get it installed the way I wanted it. With its own body and the tray with carpet, it won't be able to pass enough power to charge the phone.

Used a blade knife to cut out space for the charging plate.

Initially I wanted to install it neatly they way it is shown here

But had to opt for this due to space limitations... (glued perfectly tight)

Prepared a charger which will be installed inside the console and will not be seen... (will show it later)

Installed an emergency switch/button if I had to do other DIYs in future..

This is the place I tapped for the power to the charger... by removing the front panel mentioned in pic 1.

I know its not neatly done, but since its not gonna require too much, it will be fine..

After cabling, tested it and..... it works perfectly fine...

Tried my phone and I'm pretty much satisfied. Now I don't have to worry about cables and it will charge by itself whenever I'm driving without any hassle and distraction... ... Happy Me!!!!
