Even after so many years, my E71 is still factory sealed. I just wanted to know if it would be possible to rectify the issue of left top button about having to press it hard by cleaning. If it is possible, I am ready to invest in a set of screw drivers.

I am really not sure what wrong could have been with the button. It might be due to some dust or may be the contacts on the board have weakened by time. We face a similar problem with the Remote control's buttons of a security system. So you should better get it checked. The real experts would be in a better situation to provide you an authentic answer and solution.

Yes I do have a permanent number as well. These SIMs serve the purpose of calling cards for me. Therefore, whenever I call from them, I don't send my caller's ID. And I'll PM you my number in 2 mins.

bro isoporyl alcohol is a chemical used by computer shops to clean electronics. it evaporates fast without leaving any residue, nor does it conduct electricity. this allows thorough and safe cleaning. it is difficult to find it in liquid form but medical stores keep cotton pads which are soaked in this chemical. they are called alcohol prep pads, they are ideal for this use. i even used them to clean my dsl modem. the pic shows the pad on the left
