if the scratches are not deep, use the lowest grit sand paper and sand it thoroughly before applying paint....this should work well

Great Work.. I myself have done this few years back, Painted my Silver Lenso 17" rims to Matt Black.. I know that is one heck of a job, Specially the time where the surface is being worked upon with water and sandpaper. Then the masking. Thumbs Up..

yes it was more hectic than i thought.. for more than 3 or 4 days i had swellings in my fingers

Reminded me of painting my mehrans arsalano lightweights black and ring was then polished it took me 4 hrs in burring sun to get some results
urs look nice and they look like some branded rims not chingchang chrome chrome any more

However as you mentioned earlier the colour shade is not looking that good.

Rims are made in Taiwan but not cheap quality and are light weight.

actually now a days i,m in islamabad due to studies and most of the time i,m in isb so it will be better to find some thing here but surely i will keep ur advice in mind
