try doing something similar for a change,, maybe you'll recognize true talent that way :).

are u sure the wire is 50mm thick?which equals to 5cm.waiting for answer
@moak89
Nup. Actualy it is 50mm square which represents the cross sectional area of wire so dont think that the diameter of wire is 50mm
^^ exactly
ht unit of wire is always area...
oh ok bro...can u tell me how do we exactly calculate it?
^^Pi*r^2
:s so what does it mean by the wire being 50mm?
suppose ive got a wire with a diameter of 10mm...how would u convert that?
^^if dia is 10 mm, than radius is 5mm
putting in area formula=pi*r^2=3.141*5^2=3.141*25=78.5398 mm2
(50*pi/4)^.5=6.3mm
Yahan tou ilmi adabi batein ho rahee hein. Bhagooooooo
Yaar Simply Measure The Thickness Of Wire Rather Then Going Into So Much Hassles....!
50mm as Thickness means 2" Dia :P.....That Will Start A Factory On It :P...!I Don't Have Exact Idea But The One I Have Are Not Less Than 18mm!
So Area Of Them Are 254mm2.....!But In Simple These Are 18mm In Diameter
Here's The Link For Minehttps://www.pakwheels.com/forumreply_az_TopicID!76430~ForumID!27~pw.htmlRegards
I seriously doubt your core dia. is 18mm. Are you talking about external dia? Including insulation? The 6.3 mm I calculated was for the copper core only.
lets leave area and dia, and talk in guages (AWG)
Americans are crazy! Try trying to make sense of wire mesh gauges, steel gauges etc etc etc.
@sammi..!Off Course.....Talking About Outer Dia Of Wire...Not A Copper Side.....!I Will Measure It As Soon As I Get Hands On Vernier.....!Inner + Outer
B/w Is There Any Way To Calculate How Much Max AMP It Can Pass....?
@ghuncha...ahan thanks man...so the wires u used were of 50mm2?
@redbull_ar.talkin about wire gauge.what i got is...if the wire is 10mm...then it will be -1.58 guagelol
@farrukh...u can check this out and get the resistancehttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/American_wire_gauge

Generally, you've got guidelines for wire gauge and current and resistance per unit length. Here you go:

u could have bought chinese for 250 Rs . they work awesome.
