jump start cables are a must for enthusiasts like us, but the ones available in market are way too crappy and not up for the job, crank an engine with it for a relatively long time and they heat up and cant transfer the oomph needed...

well i had made a set for myself 4 years back, they are doing their job perfectly well, speactra@pakwheels asked me to make one for him so i did some revisions in some weeknesses that myne had, so here it is...

the finished product

stuff reqquired.
----heavy duty electrical wires, lenth is upto you but keep in mind that the more the length the more the resistance and hence more voltage drop
----crocodile clips
----some wire holders (dont know theor technical name)
----some 10 size nut/bolts.

Todays customers dont need or even know quality - for them, 100 rupay walay taar works to start the car to get to battery shop, they would ultimately forget about the cables they bought and when needed next time, another 100 rupay.

its extremely common now in USA, the current generation (born in the 90s) dont know or care about anything unless its their smart phone.

yes - if you want quality stuff you need to build them yourself, I made and gifted a lot of these in Pakistan to freinds and family.

My own personal set had 600 amp all copper welding clamps on their ends but high power quick connect on the other, This way no one would borrow my cables as my car was part of the assembly to complete the circuit

It would start anything - standby diesel generator, no problem..

We were discussing above that such items are not good for sale in Pakistan as a very limited number of people actually understand the value of these.
