D.I.Y Swift Horn Change

So after getting my dads swift .we were not happy with

the peee peee of the horn

We wanted POOM POOM:P

Here is the D.I.Y

since by profession i am an engineer so will have to bear with me the exact details .:*

I was able to do this just by looking at the workshop manual of swift .

1. The tools required are

a Rachet socket set
b Wire cutter
c.Long nose plier
d.philips screw driver.
e.Flat head as well
f.And off course the new Horn set

2.Start by opening the hood and locating these red circled bolts (10 mm )
along with the two plastic clips circled blue (Use flat head screw driver to lift up)

1. Also remove the screws located on the side of the bumpers (both sides)

1. Remove these bolts form the down side of the bumper (10 mm bolts) (3 of them )
   along with plastic clips (4 of them)

1. Now detach the sides of the bumpers (just pull them ,they will come out)

1. After that just lift the bumper up a little bit and it will be free form the structure .

There you go your car's bumper is removed.

1. There is the suzuki PEEEE PEEEE

1. Remove the horn from structure using a 12 mm rachet socket.Like this

disconnect and cut the cable from the connector as well. you wount need it .

9.New Horn set (XLI 2012, Full power tone LOW and HIGH ) RS 1350

10.Use the diagram which comes with the horn set to identify the wires

(short cut ,There is only one wire present which is powered by a relay inbuilt into the swift , so just use it for connecting the two ends of the horns make it common)

And the other common would be the chasis which is the return )

Note: Carefully watch the diagrams

There it si Your swift's horn is ready for POM POM

I Absolutely love the way it sound now :*

Kindly go in reverse order to assemble the bumper back (H)

why did u mounted 1 horn oposite
plus these are peep peep horns
not FIAMMS which scare other motorists

I mounted them opposite because i didnt have space for them to mount both of them
in same direction.
Swift has a very less clearance between bumper and the horn.
You can even see the horn from small holes of the foglight
so i had no other option other than this mounting

This horn is actually exactly the same sounding like XLI pomp poom

Plus its my dad's Car:D and he doesnt want to scare any body .(H)

You had the whole bumper off. You could install one horn on the other side for a much better sound distribution.

wouldnt the sound be better if both installed at one place?
originally they were at 2 corners but i installed new one at one place facing down for more sound

It depends on the location, but generally separation will help the sound. Locating two horns close by can create harmonics that can distort or even reduce the sound.

These horns have trumpets to direct sound downward. Their acoustics are different than the flat diaphragm type shown by the OP.

still when u hit the horn it will sound more intense inside of the car as its facing towards the car
it should be the other way around
and suzuki cars have most bakwas horns of all

original grip na cut kartay to zaida behtar halka sa bas covering utar k joint laga daitay plus indus ya X rolla k horn laga daitay kkis main groung direct hota hai sirf ek horn main ek wire lagani hoti

btw ek horn dosri sidee pay lag sakhta tha same position safety bar k 12 mm bolt pay

Bro nice DIY but sadly these local/chinese denso pairs suck big time, I've spent $$$ on three pairs in a row each of which died in 2 months or less. Secondly, you've mounted them VERY wrong.

Install them the ES civic way, one horn behind each fog light. There is a space on the other side of your swift as well.

the installation manual which i used said

"in order to creat a better sounding horn set mount them as close as possible "

So i just followed the manual.

Nice pieces of advices sir
but i didnt want a whole set of wires going from left side
of the bumper to right side and then again return from right
side to the left side

And last but not the least i followed all the steps from the
manual . and i am really happy with this setup coz in the end my
dads swift sound much better now as compared to the orignal one
