D15b Dual Vtec Question Really help needed

i have recently installed a D15b Dual Vtec engine.. my engine was running just fine and performing well but a couple of days ago when i launched it from a stand still position, in the first gear it took a hiccup (jhatka) and the acceleration got slow, and it seemed to me that the Vtecs have stopped working, the acceleration is very slow now in all the gears, Plus the biggest difference which i noticed now is that the RPM goes all the way to 8500 and then cutts off whcih is not normal. before this the engine was Cutting off at 7400rpm which is normal.

this is the problem which i am experiencing, anyone who knows a bit about D15b dual Vtec can help me out, the engine is not over heating or doing any missing, running fine but acceleration is very slow and cutting of at 8500 with no Vtecs (i am not sure about the vtecs but i cnt hear the vtec kick now)

one of my friend has the same engine and i used his ECU but the car is giving same problem, so it means the ecu is fine there is some other problem.

help required.....

is the engine check light functional and off?

wiring issues i assume chk ur wiring any check engine light?
+bogging is cused due to low or over flow of fuel u running rich??? 2 pumps i guess?

check out your engine timmings must but its also dam sure that your vtec is not working and also check out your down piping

i am running on stock exhaust manifold, but my Pipe till the end is of 2"
yes the engine is giving check light and that i know is of the exhaust sensor as its missing, but the check light was on since i installed the engine. it was fine but suddenly this problem raised.

i called my cusin in virginia and he also has a tunner honda and he asked his Gora mechanic and he said if the car gave a hiccup then it might be that the timming belt is missing some teeth and your timing is out now....thats why the performance suddenly decrease and Vtec not working.

Timing belt prob, get it checked. I had a similar issue, mine was an injector problem, changed injector and problem solved.

what was the fault of the injector, as far as i know, if the injector is not working the engine starts missing too much, i experienced it in my friend's engine and the car wouldnt go above 60 70 speed as 3rd injector was blocked. but my car is running just fine except the RPM is now cutting off at 8500 and acceleration is poor.

yes shazo, the mechanic checked the timing belt just by seeing it from the side, when you open the tappit cover, else did not checked the whole timing belt by opening it, but i guess i should get a new timing belt. then lets see if it still gives a problem.

Car went above 100kmph easily, just the acceleration wasn't as usual. injector was actually faulty, so had to replace it. Your problems related to wiring FOR SURE.
Get an electrician who knows how to scan the ECU for errors, i'm sure that will solve your problem.

yes will definitely consult an electrician too, will have to take a day off from work in order to do this all.

if your ECU has registered an O2 sensor code - it will not allow the VTEC cams to engage. For it to allow VTEC mode to engage certain parameters should be satisfied they are.

1 no fault code in the ECM
2 vehicle speed above 40 km/h
3 engine temperature above 78 degree centigrade
4 engine speed above 4000 rpm
5 VTEC oil pressure sender tripped

if any of these parameters are missing you will not have VTEC engage.

@poster yar to me it seems there's nthng wrong with v.tec(if it wux ok before nd used to kick in) buh if thrz any chek light display then it might be a cause but i think there's smthing wrong with the timing from the timing belt,get tht chekd.
