wowowo lots of guys with no hands on experience here 8.2 rev for a bolt on d15b is great becuse if your car looses traction in launch those high revvs will make the car grip better 2ndly you have to use the full rev in first only 2nd and 3rd will need time to get to 8000 which more less is useless but yeah you can benifit from this ecu over the stock one

those revs can be gained on stock limit aswell if u know how to do a drag race

be it simple no need for chipping etc u will lose the bigends in no time.have seen many many Ds in Pak sliping the crank even on genuine D16 in 98

High revs will make ur bigends gone...simply work on power to weight ratio. Because this is the only advantage charade will have over ur ride. As stated earlier u can pop ur head light take intake filter out of it to get in more air. Remove all un necessary stuff from car like spare wheel, Jack, seats etc to reduce weight. Furthermore, the ECU ul use only for race will have different map etc settings.

there is no way you can increase the rev on a stock ecu and what if he has traction issues? too much spining? only these valuable revvs will safe him and launch yeah sure everybody tries his best and still say launch achi nahee thi

1st gear 8.2 revv is what i say is great 2nd 3rd should be 7000 and he should be in the powerband to make his car move wndly you have no idea about d series d15b can easily take 8.200 all day long on stock block d16? yeah d16 is abit to worry about becus of its long stroke but still 8.2 is easy for vtec engines

installing a cold air intake on a 2002-2006 civic is something else and making a d15 eat gears like dohc is something else hope you get it

this sound great over the web but isnt practical a d15b if spinning wheels will be on the redline before you could blink yes going all the way till 8.2 in 2nd and 3rd is when he will loose power but first should be there

This is not about web...i have my personal exp with D15b and very well know how it performs. N running it daily on 8.2 revs will for sure make it gone in days.
Also the advice i have given regarding weight reduction is the most economical mod for him....ppl charge alot for so called chipped ECUs. If he can reduce the weight of car that will certainly giv him good power.

ok u'l race emm with better ecu,u'l remove it after drag,lets assume u'l beat emm.
after 2 days when h'l come across you at any street,u'l having ur stock ecu nd he'l put u thru hell:P:P
budd dont block the ends.think about practical potential mods,which will prove better for sure.

i am not against the weight reduction part thats obvious one has to do all that and i dont know why people argue here on pakwheels for no reason the poster already mentioned he will use the ecu for just one race!! so no big deal wont hurt the engine just one single run
obviously cold air intake/degreeing camshaft/adjust timing(advance/retard) as necessary all come into play

If his civic is daily driven then he can't run it on turbo all day long. Though on stock internals 8-9psi is a good boost and adds around 50 hps (depending on setup)

read the topic again he already is using 4-2-1 header with 2inch piping resonator and cat + he already has a chipped ecu for sohc vtec why would he want to chip his own ecu? and chip ecu with a vtec controller? lol this is awesome why would u need a vtec controller with a chipped ecu? and what would you do with the stock motor with a chip? richen the air fuel ratio? why? on stock motor? its useless i assume he will be running off power/rich and will only benifit from the revv

@topic creator(JUST FOR A RACE YES!!) if your engine isnt having blow/smoke and is in good condition! 8.2 revv is a piece of cake for a d15b surfing over the internett where people say to much high revv is dangerous(and hands on experience are 2 differnt things)
you can go for a 2.25inch straight piping and a 2.25 inch mufler by and if you feel lose of power during cruise you can advance your distributor for some kick in the low/mid range yes 2inch is good(w/o header) but with a 4-2-1 header u deffinitly need a 2.25inch piping and yeah after 2.25 you can think about using a CAT/resonator(after the race if the car is loud for you) and in future if you plan on getting cam camgear pistons head work you wont need to change the pipe again and again !! and stay away from people who advice you for ignition upgrades all is a scam ignition upgrade on a stock motor? lol yeah sure he needs msd 10a pro drag ignition with 15mm wires and IRAAAADIUM plugs for performance

Its not only about rich afr, in fact when you chip you tune afr to be more accurate with slighter high ignition timing if you compare with stock timing. And 8,200rev with stock head lol I. you need to read the post again where did i mention he is using chipped ecu? i am talking about headers i thought u were refering the VAFC when u said vtec controller but still why did u ask the poster to chip his own ecu? adjusting fuel on a stock motor?? adjusting timing? running out of power on high rpms? yes its true but still a chipped one with high rev is better becus when he shifts 2nd he will already be in a higher powerband in doesnt really matters if in first gear you rev high(where u dont make power)

hello race results
i lost both with the stock ecu and the chipped one
thnx to poor driving i was concentrating on the oponent and missed 2nd and shifted 3rd soon i guess then called a friend he drove mine and won with both chipp and stock one
but on the chip the gap was huge :D:D:D vids will be uploaded tomrw inshallah
