read the topic again he already is using 4-2-1 header with 2inch piping resonator and cat + he already has a chipped ecu for sohc vtec why would he want to chip his own ecu? and chip ecu with a vtec controller? lol this is awesome why would u need a vtec controller with a chipped ecu? and what would you do with the stock motor with a chip? richen the air fuel ratio? why? on stock motor? its useless i assume he will be running off power/rich and will only benifit from the revv
@topic creator(JUST FOR A RACE YES!!) if your engine isnt having blow/smoke and is in good condition! 8.2 revv is a piece of cake for a d15b surfing over the internett where people say to much high revv is dangerous(and hands on experience are 2 differnt things)
you can go for a 2.25inch straight piping and a 2.25 inch mufler by and if you feel lose of power during cruise you can advance your distributor for some kick in the low/mid range yes 2inch is good(w/o header) but with a 4-2-1 header u deffinitly need a 2.25inch piping and yeah after 2.25 you can think about using a CAT/resonator(after the race if the car is loud for you) and in future if you plan on getting cam camgear pistons head work you wont need to change the pipe again and again !! and stay away from people who advice you for ignition upgrades all is a scam ignition upgrade on a stock motor? lol yeah sure he needs msd 10a pro drag ignition with 15mm wires and IRAAAADIUM plugs for performance
