Get the master cylinder checked for any kind of leakage in the seals. Also get the caliper's piston/cylinder checked and if necessary replace the seals/pistons. One main problem with Daewoo's brake is the Caliper jamming, causing brake heat-ups and early hardening/wear-out of the brake pads......

If there is some problem with the servo like Diaphragm leakage, get it (Servo) replaced too. Hopefully, your problem will be resolved.

If ur located in KHI, contact Kareem Baloch, please beware he is too greedy. If not, Toyota Corolla Indus Master Cyl and Booster will work fine (Nissan Sunny also), you need to put extra bracket to house the booster, which is located at the back of old booster. You will feel the difference.
Please note that Daewoo original brakes are also very good and work on anti-lock basis. We Pakis are used to drive cars therefore we dont like these kind of braking system.

I have Gm Daewoo....chevrolet optra ls..i got it after selling my 2003 civic vti....i think i will keep this one forever (Inshallah)...In love with the luxury, torque, Tnrs, weight, and many many many many things in it...just compare the 2 feet long hud of new civic with the hud of optra !!! BEST 1.6 available in pakistan. its such a good car that my father in saudi arabia is considering buying one after selling 86 cressdia, price tag there is 50k riyals.

As far as the 4-tip plugs are concerned, they are of generic type and benefits in the same way in all applications. So if the 4-tip plugs are good for other cars, it is good for Daewoo also.

As far as the rotor is concerned, what happens to it? I mean how you come to know that the rotor is damaged? This is not a known problem and you need to expedite. Better get it checked by

Im driving usually and the next minute the car stops. And it will not start on CNG nor petrol no matter what you do. (and local mechanics never have a clue what happend) but as it has happend around 5-6 times now i can tell by the mintute it stops if its a rotor problem. The rotor actully breakes and is not able to transmit current in one (or mayb 2 ) of the spark plug wires.
I always get it from frderal autos. I-9.

btw i also get that "tick tick" sound aswell in the morning these days , let it run for a while and it finshishes , and your good to go. ( as told by a mechnic )

about the "tick tick" sound... i have the same problem

as per my R&D on the matter... the sound is of the hydraulic lash adjusters urf tappet of the car.... the problem becomes more serious in winters... aur the reason is sometimes they run dry due to lack of oil...

lack of oil is due to low oil pressure... reasons can be exessive engine wear... or a faulty oil pump... or even a very think or thin oil....

i get this sound sometimes on cold morning... my advice switch off engine and restart... usually goes away.

but make sure ur oil pump is ok... notice the oil light should go out as soon as u start... if it stays on for like 3-4 seconds.... means a weak pump.

another solution can be to try a 10-30W grade oil in winters... although havn't tried that... but that could help

As mentioned by @akif, this problem (tick tick) is due to lack of oil, since oil become more viscous due to very cold temperature. Company's recommended oil as per Daewoo User Manual is 10W-40 grade.....

As far as the rotor problem is concerned, I think either the spring behind the distributor has lost it's required tension or the bushes expired causing the rotor to touch the base of the distributor. This time ask them to open the distributor and thoroughly inspect the distributor to find out the clue! And one more thing.....do visit the Central Automobile I-9......

I bought the bumpers from FEDERAL AUTOS I-10 4443594,4440508

They are original daewoo racer 1994 GSI bumpers.I bought it for Rs.14000/- with adjusting my bumpers.Local market ones are all almost damaged or worn out but these were arranged via Karachi.They still beared its original navy blue colour on which this colour is sprayed.There were no dents just needed mild adjustment which they did.Best feature about them is that they dont scrap paint off with minor hits but scraps off as other plastic bumper vehicle colour does i.e forceful hits.

Get a branded geniune rotor not the replacements.Get the sensor located in the distributor checked.Clean all engine and body ground wires and rescrew them.Check plug wire between coil & distributor(centre one).Get your distributor pick up coil checked.If distributor not serviced since 70000km then get the whole distributor parts e.g pickup coil,rotor,distributor cap etc replaced.
As for the tick tick sound,as test driver quoted,check that the oil light goes out just as you start the vehicle.Change oil type to Caltex Havoline formula having blue cap(3000km life) or red one(5000km life).Change oil filter to genuine one as it has better material then conventional ones and is designed for this engine thus provides optimum oil flow.The sound stays for 3-5 sec but reduces after 10 sec to almost nil---Normal Also keep in mind that the temp during the night is -1 to -4 thus water becomes frozen and can cause hindrence to oil flow(Oil viscosity increases with lowering of temp i.e becomes thick thus flow speed reduces).Frozen Water returns to liquid state first and then starts getting warmer causing initial heat generated by engine combustion chamber to be initially used to liquify frozen water leading to elongating the process of engine to reach optimal temperature. .(To avoid this situation replace conventional water with good quality imported coolant).

As for BRAKE PROBLEM, Cheaper better solution is to change both drum leathers and disc pads to Geniune ones.Check if disc rotors are al right if not dont line them just change to genuine disc rotors worth Rs.2400/-. Service and lubricate brake calipers.Replace brake cylinder seal if movement of cylinder restricted.Avoid hard braking for first 200km and always use lowest gear while coming downhill with providing a rest of 10 -15 sec between braking.NEVER FLUSH WHEELS WITH WATER IF BRAKES BECOME HOT AS THIS CAUSES DISC LINIG ERROR AND DISC PAD BREAKAGE(MATERIAL). I have done this and am enjoying excellent braking

I have also installed DENSO IRIDIUM 3 point Plugs in my daewoo.Missing reduced to almost nil and cold state acceleration has increased by 70% with mileage improvement upto 13km/l with normal driving and normal acceleration upto 80km/hr in city
