Thanks dear, engine was overhauled around a year back and total cost was around 23K. Yes i am satisfied after engine overhaul, i prefer to overhaul instead of buying kabli one.

COmpressor was of of sanden china/malaysia but of good quality, bought it from the wholesale dealer of Rs 4.7K approx. performance is much fine.

Hello everyone...
i'm planning to sell my santro and buy a Racer/Cielo... I would like to know your opinions on:

1. Would it be a good to move from Santro to Daewoo? i'm looking for more luxury and comfort.

2. How much a cielo should cost in Mint condition with basic level of upgradation? ; no engine, no dashboard, no meter no suroof, no power steering; only the bonnet fender boot and lights.

A mint condition ceilo will cost u aroud 350-400k
wat i will recomment is that go for a mint condition racer, and install power steering by your self as an addon!!

yesterday i install cultus side mirrors on ma daewoo and they fit properly but they dont look better tha daewoo original mirrors but still looks good

Moving from Santro to Daewoo is not a bad decision. I'v experienced both the cars as,

• I own a daewoo racer car, purchased zero meter in 2001, still in use after almost 300000km,
• I had a Santro Club(GV), purchased zero meter and used it 106000 KMs
• Experienced a very good condition ceilo, used it for almost 20000 km.

Go for daewoo if u r looking for a low budget bigger car. My suggestion would be go for an origenal condition car, as more altrations/changes means higher probability of problems. Cielo is good but I'll again recommend Racer (with minimum altrations and upgradations).
Its not very hard to find a good condition, well maintained Daewoo Racer, and u'll never regret if u find one.

My rear view mirror got off, unlike other cars its pasted to windscreen with some adhesive, kindly suggest how should i attach it again with the windshield??tried elfy but gets off again

How would you compare the suspension of racer with that of santro; Cabin noise, rattling on bumpy roads?
Heres the basic question again.. How much for a Neat cielo with basic modification.? i doubt if one can find it below 400k

A clean daewoo is certainly has less cabin noise plus more confortable due to obvious reasons, if u like ceilo then dnt make haste, first chk and drive different cars that are on PakWheels or on OLX!!
When u ll drive different racers/ceilos modified non modified u ll develop an acumen, that will help you make your decision, once you like the car, take the car to federal autos isb or any daewoo specialist and have a test drive with him, u select the car keeping in view its appearance and let the mechanic decide wats under the hood!!!

Daewoo's suspension is much better than santro, engine is a bit noisy comparitively (but sounds good), much more comfortable, better drive and control. much more powerful.
I think 'thanda' has given a good advice that try few daewoos urself and find ur answers.
I'll again recommend u to go for an origenal condition 2000/2001 registered, low milage DAEWOO RACER, believe me u wont REGRET...

Neat and really good condition cielos are rare and thats why they are usually priced high but these cielos are not fast moving items so u can cut a good deal if the seller is in need of a quick sale. I think u should get a good cielo in 400k budget (or may be 10/15 K higher).

Daewoo has softest suspension system , which give you most comfortable drive even on bumpy roads , when you drive on road , observe any daewoo running around specially on highways/G.T roads, u can feel its suspension softness on bumpy roads , so as compare to santro it will give u more comfort.
ragarding cabin noise check thoroughly its dashboard and door panals as well. its dashboard made by Gatta (hard board) so there is minor chance of dashboard cracking , but AC vents , dashboard speaker grill , radio tape consol and some parts of steering wheels made by plastic , which r responsible for rattling and noises, so that should be in good shape. there is some cielos available on pakwheels under 400k budget.

well bro i have placed mine with magic epoxy. and it wz perfect.. be care full. past the holder first.. place it wid just a thin layer of the paste all over it..
