i am a regular user of internet but dont know why dont know about the DAWOO FAN CLUB i got my daewoo in 2000 it was zerometer in yellow colour and mashallah it is as orignal as the day my father bought it ,my father is a great daewoo lover i used to regularly go to federal auto s for my daewo but after the death of the owner i was not really feeling very kool their and also some of the mechanics moved away .the man was a good friend of mine.and also federal autos was one of the expensive workshops in islamabad.i will show the pics of my daewoo to all of you soon and now i take my daewoo to daewoo point to tariq and faqeer hussain no dought in it that both of them are vey affordable and are very caring to my vehicle they also know alot about daewoo than other mechanics they easily with confidence open the small and omplex things of daewoo and satisfy the user ,instead of changing mechanics to damage your vehicle its better to pay a bit more than to destroy your vehiicle .i will always suggest the beginners to kindly go to daewoo point as they have also got all the parts on good rates and know how to deal with the woo...and am really impressed by the knowledge of shan and testdriver

my car axle boot was torn a few months ago due to my negligence i haven't changed it at the rite time.. so the axle started tuk tuk sound probably because of wear out... changed the axle with a brand new one.. now the tuk tuk prob is solved.. but yesterday on motorway my car front tires started wobbling on applying breaks at speed above 60km/h else it was smooth as it wz bfr.. i dont think the break rotors hav got the prob.. help me out !

I am thinking of buying a daewoo racer (in mint condition) for daily driving. Can any one pl answer the following two question for me (without me have to go through all pages)?

1. What would be the market price of a mint condition (mostly original) racer in ISB?
2. How many kilometers can one pull out of one cylinder of 55l in racer? Considering the car is well tuned, very gently driven, in semi-highway sort of traffic? Please note that I am getting 150ish on 1.6 prosmatic with 55l cylinder.

The problem seems to be with the axle, it might be slightly bent causing the vibration. Contact the person from whom you purchased the axle.

1. There are two lots in officer scheme; 1995 and 2001. Both lots have the same car, but probably you can get better condition in 2001, being released later. You can get 1995 one around 2.8-3.0 Lac while 2001 one around 3.3-3.5 Lac.

1. In mixed mode traffic, you can get ~140 from a 55L cylinder, since daewoo body weight is heavier than civic.

i dont think so.. it was packed and was looking perfect visually. And how come it cause prob on braking while it rotates smoothly during drive..

Well ill try to sort it as i will get some sphere time...

1. Brake rotors; you cannot check by yourself, take them to a machinist for checking their surface.

2. De-shaped rims; One feel vibration during braking since when brakes are pressed, the tires are also depressed so you can feel the even a slight deformation in the rim as vibration

3. Rear drums; When rear drums are uneven, they also tend to vibrate at certain speeds with braking. To check their surface, take them to a machinist.
