I have a query regarding your post. My Racer is also having the same issue. It is reducing engine oil. I changed the engine oil more than three months ago. I have traveled more than 3000 km during this time. Currently the oil is more than half as shown by the gauge. There is no smoke, no problems in startup, and no heatup. Should I go for Engine Overhaul immediately or till what time I can delay it? I mean till what time it is safe to carry on like this , without engine overhaul?

engine overhaule is not mandatory in case of 'oil reducing' problem. it can be fixed just by replacing piston rings, but the proper advice can be provided by any mechanic after examining the overall engine condition. If u want to avoid complete overhause then it is recommended to address and fix this probelm earlier, as loose pistons may further effect other parts of engine. till the time u fix this problem, keep an eye on oil level, refill it before it touches half, and avoid running ur car when its level is low.

and what about replacing the engine of Racer with Ceilo instead of overhaul of racer engine??

Hi to all daewoo club members. i am using daewoo racer from 16 yrs.my dad got it in army scheme, baked paint in 96 from toyota frontier.im running my car on petrol.its realy fast.i have other cars as well but daewoo is exceptional.brilliant car.

Need help regarding head lights.how can make them brighter or sharp.plus i need rpm for my car, how much it will cost me.

bro use Phillips really extream 90/100 ( i guess) bulbes. as the orignal are of low wattage..

Bro havent installed them yet.. they are lying in ma store.. as my orignal windows channels and stuff is working perfectly and in orignal condition so cant dare to experiment with these and the holes on pardas will spoil the looks too...

you can buy such meters easily from Dil jan plazza or the plazza beside Balanna hotel

Thanx brother for a prompt reply. Many DFC members have already pointed out that the cabin noise is a bit more in Daewoo Racer. I agree to this point. I talked to my mechanic. He proposed to change the engine with Ceilo engine. He said that fuel consumption will be better with Ceilo and also engine noise will be less. That means one option could be not to overhaul the racer engine and replace it with Ceilo engine. He told me the cost around 45K for this change. So what u suggest?

it is depend upon condition of cielo's engine , cielo engine is DOHC , 16 valve , i dont believe if its fuel consumption is better than SOHC , 8 valve Racer engine. no doubt engine noise is less than racer's engine.

In Badini CNG Kit, there is a vacuum rubbur pype. In my car other end of the pype is not attacehed and is moving free.
What about your kit, if it's other end is fixed;; then pl tell me in detail that this pyep is fixed with which engine part.

If your car dos not stable while idling or while slowing at jumps, then this might be due to IAC or VSS sensor. COst of tehse sensors is:

New IAC sensor is of Rs 2000-2200 while kabli may be approx 1200.
New VSS is of Rs 1200.

Share your experience after installing new ones, cause i also need to buy new IAC sensor.

HIDs are effective only if used in HID projector lights, otherwise, they not only ruin the visibility but also badly disturb the opposite side traffic. I don't think these HID Projector lights are available for Daewoo Racer.

Ceilo engine (whether its DOHC or OHC 4 injector) is a different thing, and u need to change wiring, ECM and other relevant things. U also need a very good mechanic and electritian for this swap. Its a good thing if u know its details and have access to proper people, otherwise it could be a nightmare. I'll suggest u to do some detailed homework prior to any decision.
