Assalam-o-alaikum to all daewoo lovers

i am going to buy first car in my life. I prefer daewoo but most of the people forbid me to do this. Due to dead market of the daewoo brand. Kindly guide me about the merits & de-merits of daewoo cars.

There are majority of people who buy cars for market, not for themselves so off-course they are more concerned for the market value. If you are buying the car for yourself, there is no issue of market in that. Daewoo has never been overpriced nor it will be, so there is no question about market. A daewoo car bought at 300K can fetch you 280K or 320K when you will try to sell it again, which is not a big fortune!

In my daewoo there use to come air on the foot (both on driver and passenger side), it increases with increasing speed. With a/c on it stops (knob is not positioned for foot). if i turn the a/c off there use to come cold air for some time and then gradually becomes hot.
checked by three daewoo mech./elect. and they say it can not corrected and its common disease in 92 model(left indicator knob) when it get old. I have changed my vacuum booster and not sure was this thing already there or happened after the change.

any experience or solution? thanks

Did you replace the vacuum tank? Do you hear any hissing sound when the engine is start? It might be some minor vacuum leak preventing the vent control to completely transfer from foot to face.

No, the vacuum tank was not changed.

So you were referring to brake servo as vacuum booster? If yes, then make sure that the hole for servo (within firewall) has been properly sealed.

No, but they have set of all the sensors + skill to diagnose a problem.

Clutch of my car is hard since last one year and am still playing with it but now its difficult to play further as now my left leg and foot get bitterly tired in city particularly, so now am planning to spend some money on it.
I think that clutch and pressure plate might needs to be replaced alongwith clutch bearing. What is your opinion on it, is any thing needs to be checked.

In addition to above, gear liver has enough play in it. i have changed its plastic bushes including white one and play significantly decreased for some time but now its again there. Mechanic also made some adjustments besides the engine by tighting some bolt after aligning arrow sign beneath the gear lever but....... What would be the reason for this play.

It works fine and the rpm remains stable at 1k when clutch is pressed until it gets a bit heat up like the gauge just reaches before the middle or after 15 - 20 km run the the IAC valve is perfect. What the prob can be? and can you suggest me any good Advancer for my daewoo? as i drive it on petrol mostly but still want both petrol and cng configured properly? and how much an advancer costs?

Instead of buying kabli one, better to buy new sanden compressor 507 or 508. It would be your good luck, if you find a japnese one (Rs 10-12K approx), otherwise try to find a good chinese compressor. Am using chinese one (Rs5700 at that time) from last 1.5 years and is working fine. it also exerts much less load on engine as comapre to genuine compressor. Minor alterations would be made in installing sanden i.e, bracket, ac pype etc.

1. Pressure plate diaphragm spring has been worn out resulting in hard press of clutch pedal. You need to replace the clutch set + in worst case flywheel tooled/replaced.

2. There is a central rubber bush/ring on the gear lever + the shift linkage kit needs to be replaced.

Can you mention little more detail regarding you problem? Like idle RPM fluctuates, idle RPM drops, engine stalls or idle RPM increases?

Does CEL appear when the problem arise? If yes, try to read the error code and reply here. If no, probably the spark timing might be advanced. Secondly the IAC valve might be sticky and needs cleaning (using carb. cleaner) or replacing.

Bro when i starts the engine it remains idle at 1k and when A/C is turned on the RPM remains stable at 1k. And the car drives smoothly until a car get a bit heated it starts causing that problem. that when i press the clutch for gear change the engine turns off coz the rpm drops below 500rpm. and when i trun off the AC the car runs fine.. the rpm sticks to 1k when the clutch is pressed for gear shift.. i have cleaned the IAC abt 2 weeks ago yes it was chocked by carbon but getting the same problem after cleaning it too..

Well 90% chances are that IAC valve placed in ur car is the one removed from my car because i gave it to him for his purpose. Again I suggest to buy new one and not teh kabli one. I have installed new one boghtf rpom korea autos and till now its working fine. No use of adjusting.

as i feared..my cars IAC valve was put in some other car..poor soul...and no i dnt think it was from ur car..coz there was one standing there in red color and he took it out from it infront of me and placed in my car..may be he put urs in that one. as he told me.....i went to korea autos..but i guess they didnt ve a genuine one..coz when i placed that in my car....the result was again the same..same high rpm and they were selling it to me for 2200...even when i gave ur refrence upon which atif the owner said that u might ve bought it few months back...
the one murtaza placed was hell much better then korea autos so i m still using it and gave the one back to korea autos...i think ahmed and korea autos r working side by side and shops owner run the business together..
there is a code on IAC valve 603 the one im using right now...and the one i bought from korea autos was 602..and murtaza said 603 is genuine but 602 is not meant for my car and its chinese...
what code does ur car hve??? and if u ve ahmed autos number.can u share it..i will ask him this time...the current Valva is running ok but it causes little fluctuation sometimes...do sugest me soe good advice .thx
