AOA
Disconnect the main battery lead from the alternator, and secure it. Then start the engine, install a test lamp between terminal of alternator and earth, if test light lamp glows, it means that alternator is OK. Otherwise alternator may be faulty. But before removal of the alternator, make sure that drive belt is tight enough to drive the alternator at full RPM. For more clarifications call me @ 03217952598 (Asif)

thx asif for ur help..i went to electrician today and as u said the generator was the culprit coz the test lamp was lit between the generator and earth....so i changed it with toyota generator....the belt was ok and tight as i checked it my self....it was nissan generator and in small city like bahawalpur the parts r not available so i thot why not just change it and i did....

Actually generator is not speciality in Daewoos. You can change with any brand which can fit in easily. I have generator of Nissan and Brake System of Toyota in my Daewoo

ur right......my bad luck the nissan generator didnt work on mine.....wait till u hear the sad story which happened next to me...just after fixing my generator the next day i was travelling from bwp back to lhr n after crossing pattoki yoll plaza the came belt was broken n i got stranded over there...i called 130 n they towed away my car to near urban area with motor workshop....i called my mechanic as came(i hope the spellings r right) is only available from lhr. so for now as i writing here my car in somewhere in workshop n my mechanic will go tomorw buy this came n then go n fix my car.......this past week has been hell for me n the trouble this car has given me...my family has started to ask me to sell it now...the way its spending all my pay on itself n somehow im feeling the pressure..i like the car .... but the way it stressed me...its just too much n i was with family(my mother)......plz all pray either the car gets ok or gets sold

Very sad story, but plz remember one thing Daewoo is the only car which has maximum luxury in reasonable price. As far as the maintenance issues try to mark one mechanic whom you can trust. Also try to familiarize with the interchangeable parts of Daewoo as maximum parts are interchangeable with other cars. And last but not least make urs habit to give something in the way of Allah on regular basis, this will save u from un-toward incidents. May Allah alimighty bless U.

yes its a gud car but then i think its a very old car aswell n one must keep in mind that the parts ve a time limit to run n may b when i got it....the parts had run there course.....n also i think u gotta ve a good mechanic....who knows it really well..in lhr there is shortage of mechanics who really know this car n the ones who know it even they r not very reliable.....so u just gotta go with the better one....n also its my ist car so i dnt really ve much knowledge about the cars but im learning it on the way now....i ve got the car n the mechanic couldnt figure out why the belt was broken as he opened the head n even checked the injectors n everything but he did say that the petrol i used had lead in it n can be one of the reason for its breakage as i drove on petrol for few miles before i shifted to cng.....im going to wash the petrol tank...just in case...n also i changed the battery...coz the last one ran its course most probably due to generator thing.....hopefully my car wnt give anyother problem to me now....the batery costed 4400 including mine....its AGS 85amp...i hope i bought the right one...

I need to change my existing TARTERINI CNG kit. My first choice is LandiRenzo but the new one is costing almost 17000/-, which I feel too expensive. One of the CNG mechanics in Wah is offering a second hand LandiRenzo kit in Rs. 10,000/-. Other option he is offering is new Lovato CNG kit, that too in 10,000/-. I need your comments / suggestion on performance and other relevant issues of Lovato CNG kit and also looking for place(s) in rwp/isb where I could find used (second hand) landiRenzo CNG kit.

Help Needed Car working 100% perfect on Gas , On petrol low Rpm it has very bad missing

seeking advise regarding bumpers...few days back got the front showcase set for my car...the denter said bumpers r in worse condition and that i shall switch with toyotas as most poelpe do it and ve done it and keep the original in case i gotta sell the car...and dnt get the bumpers painted whether old ones or new ones....and these original ones already were painted 6 months back and look horrible now with paint worn off from many sides...
so what shall i do? put rexene on the same bumpers? or buy new ones and apply rexene over them? he said he can provide toyotas bumpers for 4000 in all? and with little alteration can fix them....do tell me guys if u ve any exp regarding bumpers..that will be great help.

sad to know all you adventures you have gone thru but be consistant and determined, dont syyrrender to the difficulties. afetr obverhaiul of my woo's engine, i also went thry the series of problems like missing, AC cooling problem and brake issue but i did nt left any imp mechanic of lahore and even of RWP and IBD. and resultantly, with the help of Allah, problems were resolved.

sole reason of engine missing at that time was actually the air leakages in the air filter box and nothing else and this was detected by Wajid machanic at Gulzare quaid RWP and engine was quite normal afetr it.

other problems you have face like alternator, battery and cam;; these issues are not very common in nature and may came across to any one like you, but again dont loose your heart and try to get desired results from you invested money. its easy to sell your car but difficult to get the results. Thnk, what do u wnat to do now?

just for example, engine missing of my car was detected in 1.5 months. issue of AC cooling including braking problem also took my head, but now these are working fine.

Testdrtiver has very actively extended his helping hand to you, MaashaAllah. one thing which I remember that wiring of your car was not in good condition, do attend it if you agree to the same.
