It's been a while I have not visited the kabari market, so I have not much knowledge about the current engine prices. As far as engine is concerned, you can go for any engine with better torque specification, since Daewoo is a heavy car (Daewoo TBi engine has 127 N.m. torque). 1N (without) seems to be underpowered (94 N.m.), but the turbo version is good (130 N.m.). CD-17 is the minimum criteria (104 N.m.)

wanted to ask u! does the pick up or performance of car decreases as the fuel level decreases in car...i ve noticed recently that my car pick goes dead when the fuel level is very low and by fuel i mean both CNG and PETROL....the engine feels very heavy....last month the mechanic adjusted the filter opening as the car would go dead in 2nd gear...he adjusted the distributor as well and advanced it on cng....after adjustment the car was better then before but when the fuel level is low its pick decreases...both on CNG n PETROL..and when i fill it up the pick gets better....what could be the possible reason and what shall i do? kindly waiting for urgent reply....i also changed the oil few days back and changed it from TOTAL to ZIC. coz the oil quantity was reduced a bit....kindly tell me how to check the oil from dipstick....

There should be no effect of fuel level on the engine pick. Get the CNG kit serviced as well as get the fuel pump pressure checked if you are experiencing the problem. You can check the oil level through dipstick as well as feel a vague idea of oil viscosity. As per user manual, the oil should be checked on a warm engine that has been shutdown for 20 minutes, by removing the dip stick from the slot. The oil level should be within the Min and Max mark.

1. It's only the Daewoo Racer/GTi/Cielo engine that is bolt on.

2. The engine in my car is the Cielo's engine with 1.6L capacity and it's a swap. The engine will cost you around Rs.45K and you will have to spend around Rs.15K for it's timing belt. The labor charges should be somewhere about Rs.7K while electrician will charge you around Rs.2K.

3. A kabli original daewoo engine should be around Rs.50K and just a bolt on swap. For availability please check page 3 of this forum.

Sanden 507 suits well with daewoo engine, I have the same compressor for the last two years and am satisfied with it's performance. You can consult any AC shop for estimated cost of installation. I got it installed in 2010 for around Rs.12k.

The 4 speed gearbox is bolt-on, but 5 speed gear will be best. Radiator needs not to be changed if it is working fine!

good to know that your problem has been solved. Now it's time to dig out the reason for the electrical problem! Get the ac compressor checked for any problem probably jamming or clutch slippage.

actually during last rain some water drops were dropped on the fuse box. Thats why the problem occurred. However i have found the place and got rectified.

since January 2012, i have changed MAP sensore three times (two times new one and once a kabli one), but each lasted for two month approx. now again i have to buy a new map sensor. but now before changing i wish to know that what can be the root cause of its becoming faulty and is there any other device responsible for making the sensor out of order.
Or quality of MAP sensor may not be that good.

Have you installed advancer in your car? How do recognize that MAP sensor is faulty? If it is confirmed that the MAP sensor is faulty, get the ECM wiring checked for any problem. It is important to know that the MAP sensor works against 5V reference, and in any case if it is getting 12V, it can be damaged. Since you have mentioned that the Kabli MAP sensor also malfunctioned, you most probably have a wiring issue.

It is not possible to put 14 inches tire on a 13 inches rim.

Dear brothers HAPPY 65TH INDEPENDECE DAY
have bought daewoo racer in pretty neat and fine shape and tryinh yo get things workingas per factory settings.
Right now got the AC fixed from tariq road, gas charging and few leak repairs from G M AC for 2500. next step is to either replace or repair the fan blower control. the previuos owner by passed it and the blower is fized at one speed by toggle switch.
from where to look for and price expected for fan blower control. can the old one be repaired?
next step is to check the working of thermostat and heater. any ideas or place in karachi where i can get both checkeD?
next question is regarding tachometer i mean the dial on the left of speedometer. it has no indiactions just some graduations, so what is the use of it?
