Recently i changed the fuel injector n pump as well. As the car was nt giving good mileage on petrol n also emitting black Smoke...i filled up The tank with 2000rs petrol Which Took the fuel guage abit above The middle...the car drove 43miles n fuel guage is in the middle....and there is still black charr in the tail pipe...the ecm is nt showing any eror n after injector replacement the car engine is much Smooth As well... n i just changed the oil as well....what could B the possible reason...

aoa guys i need bit of advice i removed cng from my car 6 months ago and there on it did not give me any trouble on petrol but presently cost of petrol is double than cng interms of mileage so any suggestions that i should get back to cng or what r the spaculations abt the future of cng in pakistan.
moreover i need to move to quetta for some time what all should i upgrade and must change if i want to take the same car there for less maintenance issues and who would be thw best man in pindi and islamabad to advice on that all
i m not much concerned abt cosmetic upgrade but nevertheless want to be comfortable with suspension work and complete electrical functions including heater and ac need sincere advice

Dear testdriver and all AoA, got a little problem,want advice/suggestions.Its regarding fuel tank cap it has got stuck and not opening with the key.The lock gets unlocked as a click sound can be heard while key is rotated but when u pull out the cap it is stuck. Waiting for an early response.JA

Any body help me I have changed plug wires, pick up coil. and now going to change main coil. @rajasaad The problem seems in CNG adjustment with checking of wiring and installation as this also happens if petrol is being mixed with CNG both feuls flow to TBI. or the blockage of air via air cleaner is not at optimal setting

Over past 1.5 years I have added a lot to my daewoo and while meeting few members they requested that this detail should be provided on the d-club. So here are the additions made recently(rest are already mentioned on the thread):
1. Power Steering(all taken form half cut vehicle including fittings to do geniune fitting)
2. Power Windows with original cielo Power window switch with backlight as original was giving issues an Central Locking Switch(all window motors with geniune central locking and complete wiring opened from half cut vehicle not having rear and front body)
3.Dashboard upgraded to GTI type but meter top console and ac console fitted of cielo so as ac can work as standard ac system and fog lights, hazards, wiper system/defogger with timer should work from geniune wiring.
4.Complete cielo wiring replaced including ECM wiring/Engine/dashboard wiring/Sulf-battery wiring/nose cut front wiring/P-W and auto trunk etc original rear cabin wiring. No wire is cut or no jack is cut in this wiring. 100% geniune system even both fans work in automatic, fog lights work via geniune button
5.4 EFI System with all geniune bottles/manifold/pipes/throttle body/injectors TPS/MAP/IAC new sensors
6. Geniune cielo AC compressor so that no wires should be cut
7. Covered the rear window door handles with pw switches and front with pioneer 350W tweeters
8. Changed front speakers to Boschman 400W 2 way speakers and rear to Pioneer HQ 718 ex with pioneer double coil woofer and base tube and 4 channel 1200W boschman Amplifier
9. Installed ABS complete system(rear base tube/front suspension/axles/abs ECM/ABS brake booster or servo/ABS motor with original brake fliud lines) only problem it gave was routing the four brake fliud lines and diagnosing the wirings to be connected to vehicle system including connection to VSS/RPM/Batt + and -/diagnostic plug. This was achieved by studying different daewoo models abs system wiring diagram and then to place the understanding under test. Also connected full working ABS light in the meter
10. Complete engine overhaul as engine was opened after 150000km driven having issue of gas kit but after opening slight play was found in the pistons thus went for complete overhaul with changing each and every thing starting from plastic bosches to pistons.
11. Brand new engine generator of daewoo cielo 70W
12. New adjustable steering with SRS air bag and new corolloa style switches
13. Daewoo Cielo AC blower
14. Seat belt light with seat belt light switch connectors with warning buzzer
15. Light on warning buzzer
16. High speed sulf
17. New Volta DIN 55 Amp Battery (Import Qualty)
18. Auto Trunk
19. Auto Feul Lid
20. Cielo switch set for opening trunk and feul lid
21. Complete wiring attached with ties where required and added wire external cover for heat and physical damage protection
22. Complete GTI Rear lights with new logos(lights have been taken from trunk of back cut with complete geniune wiring)
23. Bridgestone Potenza Re-740 tyres 175/70 R13
24. Daewoo Cielo Fender Inside shields to protect water from being sprayed on fog lamps when driving in rain
25. LED lamps for room/baggage compartment light
26. Bonnet inside engine heat protection

@shan very nice modifications but i think u gotta be a real expert when dealing with all these modifications as these mechanics and technicians can easily rob u off while making such adjustments to ur car and also may not make it the right way harming the car then making it more kooler...
few thing i wanted to ask...the bumpers of ur ride...r these toyota fantasy bumpers?? and also u mentioned ceilo wirings and ecm so what sort of engine u ve in ur car? is it ceilo engine or typical daewoo racer engine?
the power steering is it of daewoo ceilo as well and the side switches for power windows that u shown in ur pics...r these general or ceilo originals???? and where in isb u got this all done?????thx waiting for ur answer

If the main problem has been identified and resolved, there should be no black smoke unless the accelerator is suddenly floored. If it is so, the tail pipe will take some time to revert back to non-black (white/grey/rusty) color. If the tail pipe has oily black deposits then it shows that the engine is blowing oil!
For fuel consumption calculations, the best method is the top up -> 100 km drive -> re-top up the fuel tank.

It seems that either the locking-unlocking mechanism is not working or the rubber packing is sticky. When did you last open the fuel cap? If you can hear the clicking sound, the fuel cap should not freely rotate. Also remember to rotate anti-clockwise (almost half turn) once the lock has been opened by the key, it will take some force if not being opened for a longer time. If still it is not opening, just spray a little amount of WD-40 on the sides and try opening it again after some time.

In addition to what @shaan has suggested, also get the spark plug checked for proper gaping and router!

@fslrao as @testdriver correctly quoted. spray WD40 over the locks moving with key movement. Also spray some in side the key hole by slightly opening dust protector but do not stick any object inside the key hole. As for issue of fuel cap being getting stuck, every third or forth time you open your fuel cap for filling fuel get out of the car, spot the open oil for sale tray. There will be dipped/dropped oil in the storage rack. dip your finger in oil and rub it slightly over the black circular packing of the fuel cap which tightens with the fuel pipe. It should be mainly oily after application. This way you will have no issue fuel cap getting stuck. I learnt this method as my vehicle is used on petrol (no CNG) since 1995.
@guybwp I agree, if you are no expert, then there a lot of issues including price issues i.e. installation, selection of second hand parts. As I have a lot of knowledge in this field thus i have no issue. If there is any thing which i dont understand then i study the thing on net, read reviews of users on the website , discuss with mechanics and reach to conclusion and then practice the fact to practically test the theory and learn from the experience.
The bumpers are of Daewoo Racer GSI Fantasy 1993-1995. They are taken from used daewoo racer standing in scrap in korea due to tree fallen on the car destroying the cabin. They were imported via Karachi dealer thru Khalid & Amjad on my request after viewing it on net. Costed me 10000 extra. The engine block is same as of Daewoo Racer original. Changed the manifold and throttle system thus bought all supporting equipment including ECM as TBI engine has one injector and fuel is controlled by potentio setter whereas this throttle body has four injectors and fuel is controlled by N13 oxygen sensor or Lambda sensor. The cielo engine is same just upgraded throttle body for this displacement engine. Power window switch comes in the driver door of Cielo(original). The power steering of Daewoo racer and cielo are same. Only difference is adjustable steering column which comes in Cielo. The side switches p/W are of Toyota Corolla 1992.

Sir my woo (4 injector) is missing on cold startup (only on petrol on cng its fine). Fuel pressure is fine as fuel is coming back. Furthermore when it comes to normal operating temperature (thermostat installed fan is direct) it behaviour becomes normal. I did a slight experiment to check if injectors are fauty by removing coolant temperature sensor grip (since CTS resistance almost reaches infinity at very cold temperatures) and it started absolutely fine and ran fine for about a minute or two after which check engine light came (ECU detecting the missing signal from CTS). Any ideas? As mechanics are doing hit and trial and wasting money.

Did you check the voltage reading of CTS before cold starting the engine? If not, get it checked by turning the ignition to ON position. If the voltage is ranging between 1.5 and 2.0 volts (which shows optimal engine temperature) for a cold engine, the sensor is faulty. It is noteworthy that the fuel consumption will be greatly affected when the CTS becomes faulty. BTW, did you change the engine or having the same DOHC engine?

Adnan bhai replaced the head with single cam converted it to 4 injectors one. Check the resistance at cold which was 4.5kohm and by comparing it with gm cts data sheet this resistance must be somewhere near 17C while outside temperature was approximatelty 8C. Now will check the voltage. Any clues?
