Regarding relays saddar sohail autos had them don't know current status ...
Will recommend u get ur generator checked ....
Also clean and reinstall ground connection ....

im from lahore n so far korea autos doesnt have the relays...have asked electrician to check bilal gunj for them.
where are the ground connections..i read somewhere but dont remember now. my electrician did tell me that it may be due to loose generator belt.

check the grounding points on the car and check for voltage loss specially at the ignition switch.

i also sometimes suspect the culprit may be the ignition switch but how do we check voltage there....i did actually change the switch few months back but one of its point always malfunctions after few months. even i have a relay attached to it to stop it from getting over heated but no use.

remove the relay and for the ignition switch find a brand new real genuine General Motors part, nothing else will work. I have seen this trouble a few hundred times in daewoo racers.

daewoo racer had two shapes of fuse boxes, the usual had the regular bosch cube relays which used to be available for very low money because no electrician bought them (they were not japani - apparently german relays are bad according to them) - the very last cars had the miniature omron relays but with GM style pins, those were a bit difficult to find but not too hard that it was impossible.

i m willing to use the genuine general motor ignition switch but its very hard to find the real part in market these days. even korea autos who r believed to be selling the real parts appear too skeptical when selling the switch. i think they r not even sure the part they r selling is original or not.if u know about any guy having original parts. do let me know thx.

try bilal gunj.....they have some kabli switches of cielo or chevrolet.....compare with non geniune switch.....the geniune will have better build quality.....the mentioned switches will fit with some alteration but will do its job.....there are some shops in bilAL gunj which specially deals in chevy daewoo parts.

I came across "the big 3 upgrade" on YouTube. ..in which in order to improve the electrical system of the car.. three wires r replaced or upgraded ...
1. Baterry to ground
2. Engine Head to ground
3.alternator to battery.
By a 4 gauge wire... looked quite impressive though as it would improve the car audio and remove the headlights diming problem as well.
Any opinion regarding it?

this is very nice upgrade infact all voltage stabilizer work on same principle.....this had eliminated missing problem in my daewoo once.and its very useful in old cars due to old wiring.

most probably...but what i did was that i connected from block,from chassis and from alternator to negative terminal of battery for which i used a big truck wala negative clamp.

you have a GM car, look closely at the wiring you will notice the alternator charging wire is coming to the starter but joined with a thinner wire in between. This is the "alternator fuse wire" - if your main wire shorts out somewhere this wire will blow/melt disconnecting the circuit.

A big three setup omits this safety and is very dangerous IMO. The alternator wire is quite thick, it wont melt quickly but can literally start a fire if dead shorted.

yes sir but my delco ramey alternator was busted so i used nissan alternator.....tried to find original but of no luck....the bosch siemens one required alteration so i was left with that nissan one which required least alteration....so that setup was finished......so i added ground like japanese cars......till now i have added fuse to every jugari relay placed for light horn and fan....the alternator one i didnt think important coz there is already main fuse for it in fuse box.....how to add fuse to alternator now???

i dnt remember gauge precisely (sorry for that i forgot).......but it was of size which is used by electricians for relay.....i had 20-30 metres of that somehow so i used that but u can use thinner ones.........and i also done that myself....but electrician would not charge a lot for that.

I dont know about lahore but in Karachi delco remy, siemens, motorola and bosch alternators were cheap as dirt - they were found in godowns, not in shops. I used to buy them for repair. 3 out of 10 delco remys could be fit on the daewoo engine. Its a pretty standard GM design.

yes sir i have also habit of going to weird places in scrap yards.....and spent hours in searching such things.....but most of them were broken down for copper and some were having weird electric grips.....so i being pakistani used shortcut and installed that nissan one which is going fine till now.....sorry for that haha.

lol - I had to visit such places often - because the car I owned were a total of less than 20 in Pakistan.

lol...i know that vw.....i have seen 3 in my life....one was original from outside .....the other 2 were having mehran lights and famous toyota 1c engine which seemed like a broken tooth in an old man's gums and 1 of them had a large **** can for exhaust......u can imagine the condition of car.
